Abstract:
Providing of a universal wireless headset begins for an incoming call by determining whether a piconet can be established between an initiating device and the wireless headset. If a piconet cannot be established, the processing continues by determining whether the headset can establish a piconet with a device coupled to a network. The network may be a local area network, which includes wireless devices and/or wired devices. When the wireless headset can establish the piconet with a device coupled to the network, the piconet is established. Once the piconet is established, the processing continues by establishing a logical connection between the initiating device and the device coupled to the network. As such, the incoming communication is supported via the logical connection and the piconet.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to compositions comprising pramipexole and the use of such compositions to treat neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). As shown in FIG. 6B the mean +/− SEM serum 2,3-DHBA levels for the 12 ALS participants decreased significantly after pramipexole treatment.
Abstract:
A method for characterizing one or more material properties for each of five (5) or more samples, comprising the steps of depositing five or more samples on a substrate having 5 or more sensors arranged in a sensor array, wherein each sensor supports at least one sample of five or more samples and characterizes at least one material property of the sample supported thereby and measures at least one material property of the five or more samples at a rate of at least one sample every 2 minutes.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for measuring properties of a fluid composition includes a mechanical resonator connected to a measurement circuit. The measurement circuit provides a variable frequency input signal to the mechanical resonator, causing the mechanical resonator to oscillate. To test the properties of a liquid composition, the mechanical resonator is placed inside a sample well containing a small amount of the fluid. The input signal is then sent to the mechanical resonator and swept over a selected frequency range. The mechanical resonator's response over the frequency range depends on various characteristics of the fluid being tested, such as the temperature, viscosity, and other physical properties. The invention is particularly suitable for combinatorial chemistry applications, which require rapid analysis of chemical properties for screening.

A feederhouse on an agricultural combine include a pivoting faceplate between the header and feederhouse. The pivoting faceplate position indicia to assist an operator in properly positioning the faceplate. A front drum adjustment mechanism, which use a cam with cam position indicia to properly position the front drum. A stone roll mount plate permitting the proper adjustment of the stone roll relative to the feederhouse floor. A stone roll position indicia and a pointer to help position the stone roll.
Abstract:
Rapid characterization and screening of polymer samples to determine average molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and other properties is disclosed. Rapid flow characterization systems and methods, including liquid chromatography and flow-injection analysis systems and methods are preferably employed. High throughput, automated sampling systems and methods, high-temperature characterization systems and methods, and rapid, indirect calibration compositions and methods are also disclosed. The described methods, systems, and devices have primary applications in combinatorial polymer research and in industrial process control.
Abstract:
Embodiments for thermal and/or power aware graphics processing are provided. In an embodiment, a thermally and/or power adaptive graphics processing environment is presented. The graphics processing environment includes various thermally and/or power adaptive elements, each of which may be thermally and/or power aware (adaptive) in the sense that it may adapt at least one aspect of its operation and/or outputs based on thermal and/or power information to effectuate a change in graphics processing in any element (including itself) of the environment. This may include changing or causing a change in at least one of a graphics element, feature, setting, or characteristic based on thermal and/or power information. In an embodiment, thermal and/or power based adaptation may include software and/or hardware adaptation of graphics processing to affect thermal and/or power performance.
Abstract:
A channel selection canvas for display on a video display device is disclosed. The video display device can be a television, a laptop computer, or personal digital assistant device. The channel selection canvas allows a user to preview and choose video signals to be watched. The channel selection canvas displays a set of television channel video thumbnails, which can be full motion video, slow motion video or sampled video snapshots. A channel selection canvas can also display video thumbnails for security cameras, baby monitors, video phones and the like. A channel selection canvas generator that generates channel selection canvases is also disclosed. The channel selection canvas generator can reside within a television, set top box or similar video processing device.
Abstract:
A client device transmits a GNSS address to gain navigation information such as map data from a global positioning group support server. The global positioning group support server may provide navigation information of global positioning groups in the vicinity of the client device based on the received GNSS address. The GNSS address of the client device may be an inherent GNSS address or a GNSS address of a neighboring client device. Client devices are registered and divided into global positioning groups at a global positioning group support server based on corresponding GNSS addresses. A particular client device may be added or removed to or from a given global positioning group. Uni- and bi-directional association tracking within a determined time window is enabled based on corresponding GNSS addresses. Phantom GNSS moving is enabled via the association tracking.
Abstract:
A method for establishing secure access to a media peripheral in a home via a node in a communication network includes acquiring by the node, security data associated with the media peripheral; searching by the node, for a previously acquired security data associated with a location of previous operation of the media peripheral; and communicating between the node and the media peripheral, information associated with the media peripheral, while the media peripheral is located in the home, when the previously acquired security data is not found. The security data is a digital certificate. The security data may be read from the media peripheral. The security data may be transferred to a media exchange server coupled to the communication network. The acquired security data may be authenticated prior to the searching. At least one identifier may be established to facilitate communication of the media peripheral over the communication network.
