Abstract:
An actuator system for extending and flexing a joint, including a multi-motor assembly for providing a rotational output, a rotary-to-linear mechanism for converting the rotational output from the multi-motor assembly into an extension and flexion of the joint, and a controller for operating the actuator system in several operational modes. The multi-motor assembly preferably combines power from two different sources, such that the multi-motor assembly can supply larger forces at slower speeds (“Low Gear”) and smaller forces at higher speeds (“High Gear”). The actuator has been specifically designed for extending and flexing a joint (such as an ankle, a knee, an elbow, or a shoulder) of a human. The actuator system may, however, be used to move any suitable object through any suitable movement (linear, rotational, or otherwise).
Abstract:
In a massaging device, a treating section 3 has a body plate 4 formed of a flexible material and a plurality of protrusions intersecting the surface of the body plate and protruding downwardly. A massaging device main body has a reciprocal drive mechanism that deflects the body plate up and down. The small wall-like protrusions smaller than the third protrusions are provided on the surface of the body plate, and communicating portions communicating the interior with the exterior are provided inside the small wall-like protrusions. A containing portion for shampoo that is communicated with the communicating portions is provided between the massaging device main body and the body plate. A shampoo is applied inside the small wall-like protrusions with the surface of the body plate facing upwardly, and is supplied to the containing portion. The shampoo is whipped correspondingly to the deflection of the body plate while supplied from the communicating portions to perform hair washing and scalp massaging.
Abstract:
Disclosed are devices capable of performing a massage and wash on a scalp or massage on an affected area gently and effectively by a brush section or a treating section thereof. A plurality of projections are integrally formed on a surface of a flexible body plate of brush section, so that the projections are symmetrical with respect to an axis line A and an axis line D of the projection is perpendicular with the surface of the body plate. An edge of the body plate is fixed on a frame. A motor serving as a drive section is activated allowing a reciprocating drive means to repeatedly deform the body plate coupled thereto between an upwardly-deflected curved concave position and a downwardly-deflected curved convex position along the axis line A, thereby allowing each distance among a plurality of the projections to open and close-repeatedly to provide an repetitive action of kneading and pushing/stretching the scalp. Accordingly, the scalp massage and the scalp and hair wash are achieved.
Abstract:
A chair-type massager is provided which includes a chair body for use as a support member for supporting a user's body and a massage apparatus located in a seat back of the chair body. The massage apparatus includes a base member and a pair of massage units, right and left, provided on the base member. Each massage unit has a movable element. The movable element is provided with a tilt member. A treatment member is attached to the tilt member. The tilt member is driven by means of an airbag. The movable element is rotated around a shaft by means of a motor so that the treatment member can move along a curved surface of the user's body.
Abstract:
A seat massage system includes a substrate; a driving assembly, a power delivery assembly; a rail base including a guide groove provided on an internal surface, the guide groove including a first portion close to the substrate and a second portion farther from the substrate; a moving base provided on the corresponding one rail base, receiving driving force from a corresponding power delivery assembly, provided with a guide member, and sliding along the guide groove; and a massage head member provided at a front end of the moving base, where the power delivery assembly drives the corresponding moving base to rotate relative to the rail base by the driving of the drive assembly, and at the same time causes the moving base to linearly move in forward and rearward direction through coupling of the guide member and the guide groove, and controls to control the moving base to stop at a predetermined position.
Abstract:
A rejuvenation and massage device is provided for treating mucosa tissue, such as vaginal tissue, affected by Vaginal Relaxation Syndrome (VRS) or other conditions, through vibration, thermal loading, and light emittance for a duration of time. In one embodiment, the device is an insertable device that includes Low-Level Laser Light (LLLT) therapy to treat the vaginal tissue. The light emittance by one or more light emitters is in a range sufficient to provide therapeutic effects through light radiation. To enhance the therapeutic effects of light radiation provided by the device, the device is configured to provide increased energy density into target tissue of vaginal muscles though a light configuration component (e.g., a focusing component, such as a concave lens assembly, a convex assembly, a pre-lensed light emitter or other focusing optical mechanism) associated with the light emitter that concentrates the light emitted from the light emitter.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A stretching device that enables a user to employ the mechanical advantage of a multi-pulley system while performing various, prolonged muscle stretches; the stretching device including a first anchor assembly, a second anchor assembly, and a motion transfer line. The first motion transfer line has a first anchor body and a first motion transfer pulley; the first anchor body being attached to the user and the first motion transfer pulley being coupled to the first anchor body. Similarly, the second motion transfer line has a second anchor body and a second motion transfer pulley; the second anchor body being attached to a stationary object and the second motion transfer pulley being coupled to the second anchor body. The motion transfer line is terminally attached to the first anchor body and is trained around both the first motion transfer pulley and the second motion transfer pulley.
