    摘要: A calculation coefficient used in the arithmetic calculation for controlling the operation of an internal combustion engine is determined by using at least one coefficient stored in a fixed storage, in accordance with a binary number electrical signal. This signal is obtained by converting a variable instruction voltage from a voltage instructing device which can be easily operated. Therefore, by operating the voltage instructing device, the calculation coefficient used in the arithmetic calculation can be very easily changed within a very short period of time, without requiring any additional expense.

    摘要: A method of electronically controlling fuel injection in an engine including a bypass line running in parallel to the portion of an intake passage in which a throttle valve is provided. The communicable cross sectional area of the bypass line is controlled so as to maintain the idling speed of an engine at a predetermined desired value. When the engine temperature is higher than a predetermined value, the engine is idling and the communicable cross sectional area of the bypass line is being controlled, a value is stored related to the mean value of the flow rate of intake air or the mean amount of fuel being injected into the engine. When the engine is later being started, when the engine temperature is lower than a predetermined value, or when the engine is accelerating while the engine temperature is yet lower than a predetermined value, the amount of fuel to be injected is calculated by using the value thus stored as a parameter to compensate for internal friction in the engine.

    摘要: In electronically controlling the amount of fuel passing through an electromagnetic valve into an intake system of an engine, the period during which fuel is injected is advanced at low engine temperatures as compared with the fuel injection period at high temperatures. As a result, a sufficiently long duration of time is created from fuel injection until burning, so that the fuel will be more completely atomized even at low engine temperatures, resulting in good fuel combustion.

    摘要: This application discloses an electronic fuel injection system in an internal combustion engine. The system comprises: a fuel injector arranged on an intake pipe of the engine; a fuel control circuit for supplying fuel through said injector in response to the intake air quantity of the engine; an intake air flow meter electrically connected to said fuel control circuit; a pressure detector arranged in the intake manifold, said detector being electrically connected to said fuel control circuit; and an engine revolutional speed sensor electrically connected to said fuel control circuit; said fuel control circuit including: a comparing circuit which compares the intake air quantity with a predetermined value; a first control circuit which actuates said fuel injector in response to the output signals of said intake air flow meter and said engine revolutional speed sensor; and a second control circuit which actuates said fuel injector in response to the output signals of said pressure detector and said engine revolutional speed sensor, wherein said fuel control circuit comprises a selecting circuit which selects said first control circuit when the intake air quantity is below the predetermined value, and said second control circuit when the intake air quantity is above the predetermined value.

    摘要: A fuel injection system for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine wherein fuel injectors are provided for each of the cylinders. The injectors are divided into two groups, the cylinders in each of the groups having operational phases which are spaced from each other by a crank angle of 360 degrees. Injection systems are provided for each group for attaining independent injections between the groups. In each of the groups, a basic amount of fuel for one engine cycle, and then a final injection amount, is calculated, as a difference of the basic amount with respect to the actual amount of fuel injected during a preceding injection of the corresponding group. An injection of a precise amount of fuel is attained irrespective of any change in the engine condition.

    摘要: An output voltage from an O.sub.2 sensor is intermittently sampled and the sampled voltage is converted into a binary signal. The binary signal is applied to an electrical digital computer, and therein the following operations are carried out. First, the maximum value and minimum value of the applied binary signal are detected, then the difference between the maximum and minimum values and the sum of the maximum and minimum values are calculated. A reference value is calculated using the calculated difference and sum and the minimum value from a predetermined algebraic function. Thereafter, the applied binary signal is compared with the calculated reference value to generate a binary signal indicative of the comparison result. Then, the air-fuel ratio of the engine is adjusted in response to this binary signal calculated by the digital computer.
