Abstract:
A system for generating a sensor model for use in sensor-based monitoring is provided. The system includes a segmenting module for segmenting a collection of sensor vectors into a plurality of bins comprising distinct sensor vectors. The system also includes a set-generating module for generating a set of statistically significant sensor vectors for each bin. The system further includes a consistency determination module for generating at least one consistent set of sensor vectors from the sets of statistically significant sensor vectors. Additionally, the system includes a model-generating module for generating a sensor model based upon the at least one consistent set.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods of fabricating an under bump metallization structure including an adhesion layer abutting a conductive pad, a molybdenum-containing barrier layer abutting the adhesion layer, a wetting layer abutting the molybdenum-containing barrier layer, and high tin content solder material abutting the wetting layer. The wetting layer may be substantially subsumed in the high content solder forming an intermetallic compound layer. The molybdenum-containing barrier layer prevents the movement of tin in the high tin content solder material from migrating to dielectric layers abutting the conductive pad and potentially causing delamination and/or attacking any underlying structures, particularly copper structures, which may be present.
Abstract:
A method for aligning a pair of digital images includes providing a pair of digital images, wherein each said image comprises a plurality of intensities corresponding to a domain of points in a D-dimensional space, and the pair of images present adjacent views of a same object of interest. A weighting function is applied to each image of the pair of images, wherein the weighting function is centered on the object of interest, the weighting function has a maximum value on the object of interest, and the value of the weighting function decreases with increasing distance from the object of interest. The pair of images is aligned by correlated the weighted intensities on one image with those in the other image.

Abstract:
The invention provides bumps between a die and a substrate with a height greater than or equal to a height of a waveguide between the die and the substrate. The bumps may be formed on a die prior to that die being singulated from a wafer.
Abstract:
A tool for sensor management and fault visualization in machine condition monitoring. The method and system are able to monitor a plurality of sensors at one time. The sensors may be used in a power plant system monitoring system. The method and system may display a fault status for each sensor in the plurality of sensors in a single display, wherein the fault status for each sensor is displayed over time. The method and system also provide a mechanism that permits a user to examine details of each sensor in the plurality of sensors at any given time. In addition, the method and system are capable of categorizing each fault in the fault status using one or more properties or categorizing criteria. The method and system also permit sensors to be tested such that different operating models may be examined by utilizing different sensors.
Abstract:
A joint approach of out-of-range detection and fault detection for power plant monitoring. The method initially determines whether a sensor is an independent sensor or a dependent sensor. If the sensor is an independent sensor, then an operating range is established for each independent sensor. A reading from each independent sensor is then compared with the operating range that has been established. If the reading is out-of-range, an alarm may be activated. If the reading is not out-of-range, then this reading is used to determine an expected operating range for each dependent sensor. A reading from each dependent sensor is then compared with the predicted operating range. Again, if the reading from the dependent sensor is out of the expected range, an alarm may be sounded.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for optically analyzing tissue in a subject directs coherent light and ultrasound at the subject along parallel propagation paths. The ultrasound causes a Doppler shift in the light emerging from the subject, this shift being related to certain tissue characteristics. The light emerging from the subject is detected and a corresponding signal is supplied to an evaluation stage which absolutely or relatively calculates the intensity of those parts of the detected light which proceeded through tissue not charged by ultrasound and those parts of the detected light which proceeded through tissue charged by ultrasound.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition and method for treating acute on chronical liver failure or a related disease. The method comprises administering to a subject a composition comprising trimetazidine hydrochloride (1-[2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl] piperazine dihydrochloride) (Trimetazidine or TMZ) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to a dosage regimen.
Abstract:
An exemplary method of automatically addressing a plurality of fixtures in an elevator system includes establishing a shared communication link between a central controller and the plurality of fixtures. The method includes determining whether a selected elevator device operation is performed at a location of a fixture and enabling the corresponding fixture to receive initializing information, such as addressing information. The central controller broadcasts the initializing information over the communication link for automatically providing the initializing information to the enabled, corresponding fixture. By enabling only one fixture at a time, based on the selected elevator device operation, the central controller is able to accurately address each of the fixtures individually even though the initializing information is broadcast over the shared link.
