Abstract: The invention provides a white polyester film formed with a polyester resin whose main constituent is ethylene terephthalate, and (1) the film has at least two or more layers, and has at least one white layer and at least one heat sealing layer, wherein at least one of the film surfaces is the heat sealing layer, and the film satisfies the prescribed requirements of (2) the peeling strength of the heat sealing layers, (3) the difference in reversing heat capacity between at a lower and a higher temperature than a glass transition temperature of the heat sealing layer, (4) the heat shrinkage in both a longitudinal and width direction when treated in hot water at 80° C. for 10 seconds, (5) the total light transmittance, and (6) the apparent specific gravity.

Abstract: The invention provides a polyester resin for heat-shrinkable film which contains terephthalic acid as a main component of a dicarboxylic acid component, contains ethylene glycol as a main component of a diol component, and contains from 18 to 32% by mol of neopentyl glycol and from 8 to 16% by mol of diethylene glycol when a total amount of the whole diol component in total polyester resin components is taken as 100% by mol. The polyester resin has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of from 0.70 to 0.86 dl/g, a carboxyl end group concentration (AV) of from 8 to 25 eq/t, and a color b value of from 1.0 to 12.0 in an L*a*b color system. The invention also provides a heat-shrinkable film prepared from the aforementioned polyester resin, as well as a heat-shrinkable label and packaged product.

Abstract: The invention provides a polyester sealant film having at least one of a heat sealing layer and a heat resistant layer, wherein each layer consists of a polyester component containing ethylene terephthalate. The polyester sealant film has (1) a heat sealing strength of the heat sealing layers of 8-20 N/15 mm; (2) a difference in reversible heat capacity (ΔCp) for the heat sealing layer of 0.5-1.1 J/g/K; (3) a ΔCp for the heat resistant layer of 0.1 to less than 0.6 J/g/K; (4) a fold holding angle of 20-60 degrees; (5) a smaller curvature radius of 50-300 mm in a longitudinal or widthwise direction; and (6) a heat shrinkage ratio of −5% to 5% in both longitudinal and widthwise directions. The invention also provides a laminate comprising at least one layer of the polyester sealant and a packaging bag comprising the laminate.

Abstract: The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester film which has a high heat shrinkage rate in the width direction, exhibits a low heat shrinkage rate in the longitudinal direction, and has a great mechanical strength in the longitudinal direction, good openability along perforations, and excellent shrink finish. The film has a hot-water heat shrinkage rate of 40% to 85% in the main shrinking direction and −5% to 15% in the perpendicular direction when the film is immersed in hot water at 98° C. for 10 seconds, and a maximum shrinkage stress of 2-7 MPa in the main shrinking direction when measured in hot air of 90° C. and the shrinkage stress 30 seconds after measurement of the shrinkage stress has started is of 60-100% of the maximum shrinkage stress. The film contains 6 mol % or more of diethylene glycol-derived constituent units with respect to 100 mol % of all polyester resin components.

Abstract: The invention provides a heat shrinkable polyester film which has (1) a hot-water heat shrinkage of not less than 55% and not more than 90% in a main shrinking direction of the film when dipped in hot water at 98° C.; (2) a hot-water heat shrinkage of not less than −5% and not more than 12% in a direction orthogonal to the main shrinking direction of the film when dipped in hot water at 98° C.; (3) a difference in specific heat capacity ΔCp between at a lower and a higher temperature than Tg of not less than 0.1 J/(g·° C.) and not more than 0.7 J/(g·° C.) when a reverse heat flow is measured with a temperature modulated DSC; and (4) a tensile breaking strength of not less than 70 MPa and not more than 150 MPa in the direction orthogonal to the main shrinking direction of the film.
