The disk brake is characterized in that the adjusting system is configured on one or both sides of the brake disk as a preassembled adjuster module, which has at least the following components: an electromotor, which acts as the drive, or a drive connection to an electromotor and a reduction gear connected downstream of the electromotor, the rotative drive being fitted onto the mounting plate(s).
Abstract:
A method for wiping the brakes of a motor vehicle under wet conditions is described, whereby the brake pads are applied to the braked element under low pressure. This wiping of the brakes is hardly noticeable or not noticeable at all when the wiping operation is triggered in an instant in which the change in the accelerator pedal position or the change in the vehicle velocity exceeds a predefined threshold value.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a brake disk, particularly for commercial vehicles, comprising a brake caliper covering a brake disk, a tensing device arranged in a brake caliper for clamping the brake pads on both sides of the brake disk in the direction thereof, and at least one regulating system arranged in the brake caliper in order to equalize the brake pad and/or disk deterioration by adjusting the distance between the brake pad and the brake disk, whereby the regulating system comprises a regulating rotational device. The invention is characterized in that at least one regulating rotational device is provided on each side of the brake disk to adjust the axial distances between the brake pads and the brake disk.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a brake disk, particularly for commercial vehicles, comprising a brake caliper (1) covering a brake disk (3), a tensing device (13) arranged in a brake caliper for clamping the brake pads (5, 7) on both sides of the brake disk (3) in the direction thereof, and at least one regulating system arranged in the brake caliper in order to equalise the brake pad and/or disk deterioration by adjusting the distance between the brake pad (7) and the brake disk (3), whereby the regulating system comprises a regulating rotational device. The invention is characterised in that at least one regulating rotational device is provided on each side of the brake disk (3) to adjust the axial distances between the brake pads (5, 7) and the brake disk (3).
Abstract:
A brake system for controlling the brake performance of a vehicle includes a brake, a control unit connected to one or more external condition sensors, and one or more brake performance sensors. The external condition sensors obtain parameters regarding conditions surrounding the vehicle, which are monitored by a driver assistance unit to estimate a probability value that the brakes should be applied to avoid a collision. The brake performance sensors obtain parameters regarding conditions of the brake. The control unit receives the obtained parameters from the external condition sensors and the estimated probability value and determines a surrounding threat level of the vehicle. The control unit receives the obtained parameters from the brake performance sensors and determines a brake performance level, and heats the at least one brake if the brake performance level is below a first level and the surrounding threat level is above a second level.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for carrying out a cleaning operation for at least one braking device of a braking system in a motor vehicle, said method having the following steps:
setting a braking pressure by components of the braking device in accordance with a predefined braking pressure curve, wherein the braking pressure curve, during the cleaning operation, specifies braking pressures that vary over time for the braking device, correcting a setpoint motor torque that is to be provided by a drive motor of the motor vehicle and that is dependent on a braking effect brought about by the set braking pressure, the predefined braking pressure curve being selected such that a longitudinal deceleration of the motor vehicle, which is brought about by the predefined braking pressure curve, can be compensated for by a corresponding additional motor torque.
Abstract:
A braking system for a vehicle and a trailer being towed by the vehicle includes an electronic trailer brake constructed and arranged to control trailer wheel brakes of the trailer, and an electronic brake system (EBS) constructed and arranged to control wheel brakes of the vehicle. The EBS includes at least one circuit constructed and arranged to detect a function of the EBS and, in response to the detected function, to send a request signal to the electronic trailer brake instructing the electronic trailer brake to activate the trailer wheel brakes.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for providing a vehicle having a service brake of the drum or disc brake type, a secondary brake, a control system for the distribution of a requested brake power between the service brake and secondary brake and an arrangement for the reconditioning of a friction pair forming part of the service brake. The method is for the reconditioning of a friction pair in a service brake of the drum or disc brake type forming part of a brake system in a vehicle, which in addition to the service brake having a secondary brake and a control system for distribution of the requested brake power between the service brake and secondary brake.
