Abstract:
Certain aspects and features of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for accessing a surgical data structure that that includes a plurality of nodes, each associated with a procedural state, connected by a plurality of edges. The surgical data structure is used to determine a current node associated with a discrete procedural state and present relevant procedural metadata associated with the procedural state to the relevant system user. The current node is determined by receiving live surgical data, detecting a component from the live surgical data using feature extraction techniques, and identifying a current node based on the component extracted from the live surgical data. In some examples, the systems and methods retrieve a set of procedural metadata associated with the current node from the surgical data structure and transmit the set of procedural metadata to the appropriate user.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a system, method and computer program for enabling a user (100) (an auditor or a viewer) to access complementary information related to one or a plurality of sequences or topics of interest (102) in a recorded program (103) previously broadcast on the radio or television and played back on a device, such as an audio or video tape or disk recorder/player (104). The preferred embodiment of the invention relates to a system and method for enabling a person (100) listening to or watching a recorded program (103), to select one or a plurality of topics (101) (102) drawing his or her attention and for immediately receiving further information related to these topics from the World Wide Web. The system is based on the synchronization of local times (204) (205) of transmitters (201) and recorders (203). The flow of information transmitted, received and recorded is always synchronized, independently of the relative positions of recorders and transmitters. The synchronization is done referring to an absolute or universal time such as the Global Positioning System Time (GPS-time), the Global Orbiting Navigational Satellite System (GLONASS) time or another suitable universal time based on a satellite system. The GPS or GLONASS receivers are integrated or connected to the broadcasting stations. At the receiver side, GPS or GLONASS receivers may be integrated or connected to the audio or video recorders. The system is also based on a plurality of hyperlinks defined during the production and recording of the broadcast program, for given sequences corresponding to particular intervals of time synchronized with the universal (absolute) time. The hyperlinks are associated with the information that is broadcast in the program. They can be selected by users during the playback of the recorded program during predefined intervals of time and activated to access additional information and services.
Abstract:
Systems and methods can support a data processing apparatus. The data processing apparatus can include a data processor that is associated with a data capturing device on a stationary object and/or a movable object. The data processor can receive data in a data flow from one or more data sources, wherein the data flow is configured based on a time sequence. Then, the data processor can receive a control signal, which is associated with a first timestamp, wherein the first timestamp indicates a first time. Furthermore, the data processor can determine a first data segment by applying the first timestamp on the data flow, wherein the first data segment is associated with a time period in the time sequence that includes the first time.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises an input part for inputting image data, a receiving part for receiving production information relating to production transmitted from another apparatus, a recording part for recording the production information received by the receiving part and image data input by the input part, a detection part for detecting a recording position on a recording medium at an editing point of image data recorded by the recording part, and a transmission part for transmitting information of the recording position detected by the detection part, whereby identification information for identifying image data and voice data is recorded in a recording medium or a recording device, this relieving a burden on a photographer and an editor and facilitating extraction of image data and voice data.
Abstract:
The present technology relates to a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a recording medium that enable content having a wide dynamic range of brightness to be displayed with an appropriate brightness. A recording medium, on which the reproduction device of one aspect of the present technology performs reproduction, records coded data of an extended video that is a video having a second brightness range that is wider than a first brightness range, brightness characteristic information that represents a brightness characteristic of the extended video, and brightness conversion definition information used when performing a brightness conversion of the extended video to a standard video that is a video having the first brightness range. The reproduction device decodes the coded data and converts the extended video obtained by decoding the coded data to the standard video on the basis of the brightness conversion definition information.

Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a decoder, a transmitter and an operation processor. The decoder decodes a control stream in encoded content data including an AV stream and the control stream for controlling the AV stream. The transmitter transmits the AV stream and the control stream to an external apparatus, wherein first time information is added to the AV stream and second time information is added the control stream. The operation processor executes, in response to a user operation in the external apparatus, a process corresponding to the operation by using the decoded control stream while video is being displayed on a screen of the external apparatus.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a network interface device a first capture device interfacing with a first external information source to capturing first external information. A processor processes the captured first external information and storing it in a first media, the processor initiating the storage of the first captured information at an initial time and completes storage of the first captured information at a completion time, thus providing a stored defined set of first captured information. A transmitter transmits the defined set of stored captured information to a remote location on a network after the completion time. A remote processing system is disposed at the remote node on the network and includes a database and a receiver for receiving the transmitted defined set of first captured information from the transmitter associated with the network interface device as a received defined set of first captured information. A data converter is operable to convert the received defined set of first captured information to a second format as a set of converted first captured information, the second format different than the first media format, the second format being a searchable format. The database then stores the set of converted captured information.
