Abstract: The invention provides a polyolefin-based resin film that allows, even when the polyolefin-based resin film is laminated with a base film having a large strain in the molecular orientation axis, a packaging bag obtained from a laminated body thereof to be excellent in straight cuttability and ease of tearing, less likely to be broken, and excellent in slipperiness. The polyolefin-based resin film is formed from a polypropylene-based resin composition, wherein a polyolefin-based resin forming the polypropylene-based resin composition contains, in a total of 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin-based resin forming the polypropylene-based resin composition, 55 to 80 parts by weight of a propylene-ethylene block copolymer; 10-30 parts by weight of a propylene-α olefin random copolymer; and 10-30 parts by weight of a linear low-density polyethylene having a melting point of 112-130° C., wherein the polyolefin-based resin film has an orientation coefficient ΔNx in a longitudinal direction of 0.0120-0.0250.

Abstract: A package film is described. The package film comprises a first foil layer having a thickness of 0.5 mil or less but greater than 0 mil and a second foil layer having a thickness of 0.5 mil or less but greater than 0 mil. The package film also comprises a multilayer structure positioned between the first foil layer and the second foil layer. The multilayer structure has a thickness of from 0.75 mil to 2 mil and comprises (a) a high modulus layer having a secant modulus in each of the machine direction and the transverse direction of greater than 120,000 psi or having an elongation at break in each of the machine direction and the transverse direction of less than 150% and (b) a bulk layer comprising polyethylene, polypropylene, ionomer, or blends thereof. The package film further comprises a sealant film, and the sealant film is positioned interior the second foil layer. Various embodiments of the package film are also described.

Abstract: In one implementation, an integrated processing tool for the deposition and processing of lithium metal in energy storage devices. The integrated processing tool may be a web tool. The integrated processing tool may comprises a reel-to-reel system for transporting a continuous sheet of material through the following chambers: a chamber for depositing a thin film of lithium metal on the continuous sheet of material and a chamber for depositing a protective film on the surface of the thin film of lithium metal. The chamber for depositing a thin film of lithium metal may include a PVD system, such as an electron-beam evaporator, a thin film transfer system, or a slot-die deposition system. The chamber for depositing a protective film on the lithium metal film may include a chamber for depositing an interleaf film or a chamber for depositing a lithium-ion conducting polymer on the lithium metal film.

The body includes a base, a side wall, and an interior region at least partially defined by the base and the side wall. The lid includes a lid wall and a skirt that extends from a periphery of the lid wall. The skirt engages the body to retain the lid on the body. The skirt cooperates with the lid wall to define a cavity. The lid is formed from a laminate including a metal layer and a polymer layer coupled to the metal layer. The polymer layer is disposed inside of the metal layer with respect to the cavity. A portion of the body is disposed inside the cavity when the container is in a closed configuration. At least some example embodiments relate to a forming of manufacturing the lid.

Such a sheath may be used in contact with hydrocarbons at high temperature.

Abstract: In a packaging material that is, or includes, a laminate, the laminate includes first and second webs that are joined to one another. The first web includes a metallic layer on a second layer. The metallic layer is positioned between the second layer and the second web. Indicium is defined in at least the metallic layer. The packaging material is configured so that the indicium is visible from a first side of the packaging material, and the indicium is typically not visible from a second side of the packaging material. The indicium can be at least partially defined by holes in the metallic layer. The visibility of the indicium may be enhanced by the laminate including material that is a different color than the metallic layer, and the different color being at least partially visible through the indicium.
