Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support overlapping code block groups (CBGs) for multiple codewords. A receiving device may receive multiple codewords from a transmitting device over a set of spatial layers. The receiving device may determine an association between a set of feedback bits and code blocks (CBs) of the multiple codewords. The association may be based on a CBG configuration, which may bundle one or more sets of CBs of the one or more codewords using time boundaries (e.g., symbols) or based on a uniform or proportional CB distribution. Based on whether decoding of the codewords is successful, the receiving device may transmit the set of feedback bits. The number of feedback bits may be the same regardless of whether one or two codewords are received.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer program product, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a first node. The first node receives synchronization information. The first node determines at least one discovery frame based on the synchronization information. The first node receives scheduling data from the second node in one of the at least one discovery frame. The first node determines a first awake period of the second node based on the scheduling data of the second node. The first node determines a second awake period of the first node based on the first awake period. The first node associates with the second node. The first node remains awake for communication in the second awake period.

Abstract: IoE devices signal association requests to relay devices during association slots. An IoE device receives a discovery broadcast from a relay device, listing available tones for association. The IoE device sends a first association request to the relay device using a tone selected from the list. The relay device returns a first response. The IoE device randomly selects a tone from a channel and sends a second request to the relay device with it. A second response is sent to the IoE device after contention. The IoE device creates a list of available tones and sends it to the relay device. An overlapping tone is selected. The relay device sends the selected tone to the IoE device for subsequent data communication. If there is no overlap, the relay device may suggest available tones for use in a subsequent association request. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Device detection in networks with mixed mobility devices is discussed. Devices in the network first determine a discovery mode from a plurality of discovery modes, wherein the determining is based on a mobility state of the wireless device. The device identifies a set of resources associated with the determined discovery mode, wherein each of the plurality of discovery modes is provisioned with separate resources. A discovery signal is transmitted using the identified set of resources according to the discovery mode. Thus, devices with higher mobility will generally send discovery signals more often than devices that are static or semi-static.

Abstract: An apparatus may receive, from a scheduling entity, sidelink grant information in a downlink control channel. After receiving the grant information in the downlink control channel, the apparatus may transmit a request-to-send (RTS) signal comprising an indication of a requested duration of time to reserve a sidelink channel for sidelink data. If the sidelink channel is available for the requested duration of time, the apparatus may receive a clear-to-send (CTS) signal configured to indicate an availability of the sidelink channel for the requested duration of time. Subsequently, the apparatus may communicate, with another apparatus different from the scheduling entity, the sidelink data using the sidelink channel during the requested duration of time. Afterwards, the apparatus may communicate acknowledgment information corresponding to the communication of the sidelink signal with the other apparatus. Various additional and alternative aspects are described herein.

Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) package that includes a first die, a wire bond coupled to the first die, a first encapsulation layer that at least partially encapsulates the first die and the wire bond, a second die, a redistribution portion coupled to the second die, and a second encapsulation layer that at least partially encapsulates the second die. In some implementations, the wire bond is coupled to the redistribution portion. In some implementations, the integrated circuit (IC) package further includes a package interconnect that is at least partially encapsulated by the second encapsulation layer. In some implementations, the integrated circuit (IC) package further includes a via that is at least partially encapsulated by the second encapsulation layer. In some implementations, the integrated circuit (IC) package has a height of about 500 microns (μm) or less.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for improving sidelink communication reliability. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may map allocated sidelink resources from a logical domain to a physical domain, where the mapped resources may include greater frequency diversity in the physical domain A frequency range of a sidelink control channel or of a sidelink data channel may be greater in the physical domain than in the logical domain after the mapping. In some examples, sidelink communications may be associated with an aggregation factor that represents a number of repetitions of a sidelink communication. In this example, a UE may repeat a sidelink communication within a contention-based resource pool a number of times before receiving feedback in order to increase communication reliability. A first UE may communicate a sidelink communication with a second UE using a resource mapping or repetitions of the sidelink communication.
