    摘要: A variable valve train apparatus operable in a low-speed mode in which a low-speed rocker arm is rocked by a low-speed cam through a roller or a slipper to thereby open or close an intake valve, and in a high-speed mode in which a high-speed rocker arm is rocked by a high-speed cam through a roller or a slipper and a changeover mechanism part on the side of the low-speed rocker arm is pressed by a changeover mechanism part on the side of the high speed rocker arm together with which the low-speed rocker arm is rocked to open or close the intake valve. The axis of the changeover mechanism part is positioned at the middle of the width of the roller or slipper in the axial direction of the rocker shaft to prevent inclination of the high-speed rocker arm.

    摘要: An engine includes, a cylinder head, an intake valve, an exhaust valve, and a first clearance adjusting mechanism for actuating the intake valve. The first clearance adjusting mechanism (1) maintains a first valve clearance when the intake valve and the cylinder head are in a cold state, such that the intake valve closes after a bottom dead center, and (2) maintains a second valve clearance, shorter than the first valve clearance, when a temperature of the intake valve is in a hot state and a temperature of the cylinder head is still in the cold state, after a cold start of the engine, such that an open timing of the intake valve is advanced and a close timing of the intake valve is retarded. The exhaust valve opens and closes at fixed predetermined timings regardless of a temperature of the exhaust valve and the cylinder head.

    摘要: A valve gear for an internal combustion engine capable of promptly switching the position of a piston in a rocker arm to thereby change the engine operating condition with a satisfactory response, even in a low rotation region in which an adequate amount of oil discharged from an oil pump cannot be expected. Depending on positions of pistons slidably fitted in low-speed and high-speed cylinder portions provided in an intake driven rocker arm, a low-speed or high-speed drive rocker arm is selectively operated to press a corresponding one of the pistons. The piston in the low-speed cylinder portion switched in a low rotation region is made smaller in diameter than the piston in the high-speed cylinder portion, to be enabled to be promptly switched.
