    摘要： Panels of composite wood material are formed in a wet process which includes depositing a layer of wet composite wood material in a mat on a press wire screen mesh and moving the screen mesh to carry the mat into a pressing position between a pair of spaced apart pressure plates having generally matching, contoured facing surfaces for shaping the outer face and a smoothly contoured back face of the panel. The back face of the panel is not flat and generally follows or matches the shape or contour of the outer face so that regions of high fiber stress and dense, brittle areas of high fiber compression are generally eliminated. The resulting finished panels having excellent machining qualities, more uniform surface coating absorption characteristics, more uniform thickness and less rapid moisture absorption properties, along with a lower tendency to check, crack or split.

    摘要： A solventless, fluid epoxy resin composition is storage-stable against separation of phases for at least one year, and when cured provides adhesive bonds of improved peel strength at room and low temperatures without loss of lap shear strength at room and elevated temperatures. The composition comprises an epoxide group-containing compound having in situ polymerized, elastomeric particles colloidally dispersed therein, and as curing agent a poly(oxyhydrocarbolene)diamine compound and optionally, and preferably, a cure accelerator.

    摘要： In one aspect, the invention provides ene-thiol elastomers comprising the reaction product of a polythiol free of hydrophilic groups and having at least two thiol groups and an aromatic, heterocyclic, aliphatic, or cycloaliphatic polyene having at least two reactive unsaturated carbon to carbon bonds. In another aspect, the invention provides ene-thiol elastomer comprising the reaction product of (a) a thiol terminated oligomer comprising the reaction product of a polythiol having two thiol groups and a first polyene or mixture of polyenes having two reactive unsaturated carbon to carbon bonds; and (b) a second polyene or a mixture of polyenes having at least 5 percent functional equivalents of unsaturated carbon to carbon bonds from polyenes having at least three unsaturated carbon to carbon bonds. The ene-thiol elastomers of the invention have a weight increase of not more than 4 weight percent in 15 days at a temperature of 22 ° C. when immersed in a solution of 96 parts by weight water and 4 parts by weight n-butanol and/or a water vapor transmission rate of less than 50 g-mm/m2-day at 40 ° C. according to ASTM D814.
