A composition and associated method for chemical mechanical planarization (or other polishing) are described. The composition comprises an abrasive and a tricine-type or bicine-type compound. The composition possesses high selectivities for removal of copper in relation to tantalum and dielectric materials whilst minimizing local dishing and erosion effects in CMP. The composition may further comprise an oxidizing agent in which case the composition is particularly useful in conjunction with the associated method for metal CMP applications (e.g., copper CMP).

The present invention relates to novel Tetracyclic Xanthene Derivatives of Formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein A, Y1, Y2, Z, Ra, Rb, R1a, R1b and R2 are as defined herein. The present invention also relates to compositions comprising at least one Tetracyclic Xanthene Derivative, and methods of using the Tetracyclic Xanthene Derivatives for treating or preventing HCV infection in a patient.

A method and an arrangement for reducing an in-rush current of a multi-module system are provided. The system comprises a plurality of modules designed to perform predefined functions, and a power supply unit designed to provide power to the plurality of modules. Each of the plurality of modules comprises a power control system which performs a respective time delay on the power-on of the power received from the power supply unit. With the system and the method, the total in-rush current of the multi-module system is greatly reduced.

The present invention discloses an radiation imaging system, comprising: an accelerator for generating rays which penetrate through the objects to be inspected and an synchronous signal; a detector with a plurality of detecting modules, adapted for detecting rays; a signal processor for generating a selection signal according to the synchronous signal, so as to select a detecting module for detecting the rays; a data converter for converting the signal detected by said detecting module into digital data, and then buffering the digital data in said signal processor; and a communication controller connected to an image processor, adapted for transmitting the digital data buffered in said signal processor to said image processor. The system according to the present invention allows high-speed and stable data acquisition and data conversion and accurate and reliable data transmission, when the data amount is significant.
