摘要: A molded polymer article is disclosed which includes a first structural portion, a second structural portion, and a living hinge connecting the first structural portion and the second structural portion. Both structural portions and the living hinge are all integrally molded from a polymeric composition which includes: (1) from about 20 to about 95 weight percent of polyhydroxyalkanoates, (2) from about 5 to about 75 weight percent of a biodegradable polymer selected from the group consisting of polylactic acid, poly(butylene succinate), poly(butylene-succinate-co-adipate), poly(caprolactone), and poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate), (3) from about 0.01 to about 5.0 weight percent of a nucleating agent, and (4) from about 0.01 to about 5.0 weight percent of at least one mold processing aid, such as a mold release agent.

摘要: Provided herein are polymer compositions comprising a polymer and polymer processing aid (PPA) comprising a blend of at least two of: (i) a polyethylene glycol; (ii) a surfactant comprising a sorbitan ester or a polysorbate; and (iii) a metal salt of a fatty acid. The polymer can be a C2-C6 olefin homopolymer or a copolymer of two or more C2-C20 α-olefins, and the polymer composition can take the form of polymer pellets; a polymer melt; reactor-grade polymer granules and/or polymer slurries; or other form of polymer composition containing the PPA and optionally one or more other additives. The polymer composition is preferably free or substantially free of fluorine, including fluoropolymer-based PPAs.

摘要: A polymer composition includes: (a) a propylene-based polymer having a melt mass-flow rate of ≥5.0 and ≤90.0 g/10 min; and (b) ≥5.0 and ≤30.0 wt %, with regard to the total weight of the polymer composition, of an ethylene-based polymer having: a melt mass-flow rate of 3.0 and ≤30.0 g/10 min; a density of ≥840 and ≤870 kg/m3; and a content of ≥25.0 and ≤50.0 wt % of moieties derived from 1-octene, with regard to the total weight of the ethylene-based polymer. Such polymer composition demonstrates improved low temperature impact strength, determined as Izod impact strength at −40° C. and/or at −30° C., as well as desirable toughness, determined as tensile modulus, whilst having good flowability in injection moulding and thereby allowing complex, thin-walled objects to be shaped.

摘要: This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions. Specifically, ethylene interpolymer products having: a Dilution Index (Yd) greater than 0; total catalytic metal ≥3.0 ppm; ≥0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms, and; optionally a Dimensionless Modulus (Xd) greater than 0. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.869 to about 0.975 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 20% to about 97%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.
