摘要: A pressure detecting device includes a semiconductor substrate (30, 200, 300, 400) for outputting an electrical signal corresponding to an applied pressure received from a pressure transmitting member (20) having electrically conductive properties disposed on the front surface of the semiconductor substrate (30, 200, 300, 400). The substrate (30, 200, 300, 400) and the pressure transmitting member (20) are accommodated in a housing (10). A lead member (50) electrically independent of the housing (10) is accommodated in the housing (10) at the back surface side of the semiconductor substrate (30, 200, 300, 400), and the lead member (50) and an electrode (35b) of the substrate (30, 200, 300, 400) are electrically connected to each other through conductive adhesive material (40). The housing (10) preferably includes a first portion (101), a second portion (102) having smaller thermal conductivity than the first portion, and an electrically conductive partition portion (103).

摘要: A pressure sensor chip includes a diaphragm and pads. A flexible printed circuit board (FPC) includes a resin sheet having a through-hole and wiring patterns that are formed within the resin sheet and sealed. The resin sheet is press-fitted to the pressure sensor chip such that the diaphragm is bared at the through-hole. The wiring patterns are connected to the pads, and junctions between the wiring patterns and the pads are sealed with the resin sheet.

摘要: An active matrix substrate plate having superior properties is manufactured at high yield using four photolithographic fabrication steps. In step 1, the scanning line and the gate electrode extending from the scanning line are formed in the glass plate. In step 2, the gate insulation layer and the semiconductor layer comprised by amorphous silicon layer and n+ amorphous silicon layer is laminated to provide the semiconductor layer for the TFT section. In step 3, the transparent conductive layer and the metallic layer are laminated, and the signal line, the drain electrode extending from the signal line, the pixel electrode and the source electrode extending from the pixel electrode are formed, and the n+ amorphous silicon layer of the channel gap is removed by etching. In step 4, the protective insulation layer is formed, and the protective insulation layer and the metal layer above the pixel electrode are removed by etching.

摘要: The present invention relates to the field of metabolic research. Metabolic disorders, such as obesity, are a public health problem that is serious and widespread. GSSP4 polypeptides have been identified that are believed to be beneficial in the treatment of metabolic disorders. These compounds should be effective for reducing cholesterol levels, body mass, body fat, and for treating metabolic-related diseases and disorders. The metabolic-related diseases or disorders envisioned to be treated by the methods of the invention include, but are not limited to: obesity, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, atherosclerosis, diabetes, glucose intolerance, insulin resistance and hypertension.

摘要: A multi-function structure of a plug-in universal IC card is to be promoted and the manufacturing cost is to be reduced. The body of the plug-in UICC is constructed of a molding resin. A tape substrate and a chip mounted on one side of the tape substrate are sealed in the interior of the molding resin. A side opposite to the chip mounting side of the tape substrate is exposed to the exterior of the molding resin and constitutes a surface portion of the plug-in UICC. Contact patterns serving as external terminals of the plug-in UICC are formed on the surface of the tape substrate exposed to the exterior of the molding resin. In the plug-in UICC whose body is constructed of molding resin, cracking of the chip can be prevented effectively even in the case where the chip is large-sized.

摘要: A golf ball 1 has a core 2, a cover 3, a mark layer 4, and a finishing coat layer 5. An ink used for the mark layer 4 includes an isocyanate curing agent that contains a diisocyanate trimer, a base material, and a colorant. Preferred curing agent contains an isophorone diisocyanate trimer. The ink includes a diisocyanate curing agent at equal to or greater than 1% by weight and equal to or less than 20% by weight, calculated on the basis of the solid content. The base material includes a polymer having a hydroxyl group as a principal component. The “NCO/OH” value, which is a ratio of isocyanate groups of the isocyanate curing agent and hydroxyl groups of the base material, is equal to or greater than 0.5 and equal to or less than 2.0. The mark layer 4 may be printed on a base coat layer, alternatively, may be printed on a crosslinked rubber. This ink has excellent adhesiveness to a base.

摘要: Defective sweep occurs when strong light enters, i.e., a quantity of input light increases, and smear and blooming components increase during an exposure period because a quantity of unnecessary charge to be swept during a sweep-out transfer period of a first field side exceeds a quantity of charge to be handled. The inventive image pickup system solves the above-mentioned problem by setting the sweep-out transfer period of the first field side to be longer than the sweep-out transfer period of a second field in a digital still camera which controls an exposure time by using a mechanical shutter in using as an image pickup device, a solid-state image pickup device which carries out the sweep-out transfer of transferring and sweeping charges within a vertical transfer section quickly more than transfer speed in transferring the signal charges read out from a sensor section to the vertical transfer section before reading out the signal charges from the sensor section to the vertical transfer section.
