摘要: The present invention provides polyamide compositions comprising (a) at least one polyamide mixture; (b) at least one reinforcing filler; (c) at least one heat stabilizer; and (d) at least one ionic lubricant, wherein the (a) at least one polyamide mixture is formed from (i) a polyamide 6,6, the amount of AEG being greater than the amount of CEG, and (ii) a blend of a first high chain-length polyamide having viscosity number (VN) of X1 and a second high chain-length polyamide having VN of X2, X1 being greater than X2. The polyamide composition can be advantageously used to produce articles exhibiting enhanced chemical resistance, notably CaCl2 salt crack resistance, such as radiator end tank in an automobile.

摘要: Lactone/alkylene oxide polymers are useful as additives to inhibit or prevent the deposition of paraffin in hydrocarbon fluids, particularly crude oil produced from a subterranean formation. These polymers are random or block polymers made from addition reactions of a hydroxyl- and/or amine-containing base compound with at least one lactone monomer and at least one alkylene oxide monomer. In one non-limiting embodiment the lactone monomer is optional.

摘要: The addition of alkyl salicylic acids and esters represented by Formula I where R1═H or C12 to C22 linear alkyl group; R2═H or linear C12 to C22 carbonyl group; and R3=linear C12 to C22 alkyl group reduces the pour point of a hydrocarbon base oil. Thus, both a method for reducing the pour point of hydrocarbon oils and lubricating composition containing pour point reducing salicylates are provided. The hydrocarbon base oil in such method and composition preferably is a Group III base oil.
