Abstract: According to one embodiment, a condition monitoring apparatus includes a processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to collect a sensor signal output from a sensor that monitors a condition of a mechanical device that is at least partially mobile. The processing circuitry is configured to diagnose a presence or absence of an anomaly in the mechanical device based on the sensor signal. The processing circuitry is configured to cut out the sensor signal in a time width according to any one or more of a speed, an acceleration, and a jerk of the mechanical device. The processing circuitry is configured to determine the presence or absence of an anomaly based on the cut out sensor signal.

Abstract: A mouth guard senses impact forces and determines if the forces exceed an impact threshold. If so, the mouth guard notifies the user of the risk for injury by haptic feedback, vibratory feedback, and/or audible feedback. The mouth guard system may also remotely communicate the status of risk and the potential injury. The mouth guard uses a local memory device to store impact thresholds based on personal biometric information obtained from the user and compares the sensed forces relative to those threshold values. The mouth guard and its electrical components on the printed circuit board are custom manufactured for the user such that the mouth guard provides a comfortable and reliable fit, while ensuring exceptional performance.

Abstract: A system for analyzing starts and acceleration phases in squat-style track and field events has: a launching stand, a plurality of wireless cameras, a technical analysis host, two foot tracking devices and a gyro group. The launching stand has at least one acceleration sensor and an adjusting support connected to two pedals. The technical analysis host is connected to the acceleration sensor and the wireless cameras, the acceleration sensor actives the wireless cameras to collect instantaneous speed data of a runner, and the technical analysis host generates a 100 m speed curve L1 of the runner, and the 100 m speed curve L1 includes a continuous reduced acceleration section L2. The two foot tracking devices are installed on two feet of each runner. The gyro group have a first gyro, a second gyro, a third gyro and a fourth gyro.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a tapered bolt receiver for a door lock to accommodate misalignment, between a deadbolt mounted to a door, and an opposing jamb. The tapered bolt receiver can be configured to accommodate misalignment for a deadbolt having a non-tapered bolt, such as for an electromechanical smart lock having a battery stored within a battery compartment that is integrated with an enhanced bolt. Also disclosed are embodiments of a deadbolt plate pivot assembly that is pivotably mountable to a corresponding deadbolt assembly to define a plate pivot system, to accommodate a beveled door edge. An illustrative embodiment of the deadbolt plate pivot assembly includes opposing plate that captures a hinge assembly, which can include plastic plate hinges, which serve to locate the deadbolt plate pivot assembly with respect to a corresponding bolt housing, and can provide a spring force and/or constant torque when mounted to a beveled door.

The low-power processor: operates the acceleration sensor while the gyro sensor is deactivated to determine a motion pattern of the electronic device; drives the geomagnetic sensor to acquire geomagnetic data such that, if the motion of the electronic device corresponds to a predetermined first motion pattern, the geomagnetic data is acquired at a first sample rate, and, if the motion corresponds to a predetermined second motion pattern, the geomagnetic data is acquired at a second sample rate higher than the first sample rate; and calibrates the geomagnetic sensor on the basis of the geomagnetic data.

Abstract: An example smart antenna mount may couple an antenna alignment device with an antenna. The smart antenna mount may include sensors such as strain gauges and accelerometers, and an electronic circuitry to communicate the measurements from the sensors. The measurements are received by the antenna alignment device, which may perform further operations to determine whether the coupling is within desired bounds. If within desired bounds, the antenna alignment device may generate an indication of a normal coupling, e.g., by activating a first colored (e.g., green) LED. If the coupling is outside the desired bounds, the antenna alignment device may indicate an alarm condition, e.g., activating a second colored (e.g., red) LED or generating an audible signal.
