    Abstract: Polyethylene-based compositions are provided that can be used, for example, in the formation of film layers. In one aspect, a composition comprises (a) a first linear low density polyethylene having a density of 0.900 to 0.915 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) of 5.0 to 25 g/10 min, wherein the linear low density polyethylene is a blend of at least two components: (i) 20-40% by weight of a second linear low density polyethylene, wherein the second linear low density polyethylene is a homogeneously branched ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer having a density of 0.870-0.895 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) of 2.0-6.0 g/10 min; and (ii) 60-80% by weight of a third linear low density polyethylene, wherein the density of the third linear low density polyethylene is at least 0.02 g/cm3 greater than the density of the second linear low density polyethylene and wherein the melt index (I2) of the third linear low density polyethylene is at least twice the melt index (I2) of the second linear low density polyethylene.

    Abstract: An ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition suitable for pipe applications prepared via solution polymerization process, and pipes made therefrom. The ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition suitable for pipe applications according to the present invention comprises greater than 80 percent by weight of units derived from ethylene and 20 percent or less by weight of units derived from one or more alpha olefin co-monomers, wherein said ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer has a density in the range of from 0.925 to 0.935 g/cm3, a melt index I2 in the range of from 0.3 to 1.0 g/10 minutes, a melt flow ratio I10/I2 in the range of from 7.9 to 11, a melt strength in the range of from 3 to 10 cN, a DSC heat curve having a melting peak temperature in the range of from 120 to 130° C., a crystallinity in the range of from 50 to 70 percent, a 1% flexural modulus in the range from 350 to 600 MPa, and a zero shear viscosity ratio (ZSVR) in the range of from 2 to 10.

    Abstract: The instant invention provides a polyolefin blend composition suitable for extrusion coating or extrusion lamination applications, and multilayer structure and articles made therefrom. The polyolefin blend composition suitable for extrusion coating or extrusion lamination applications according to the present invention comprises (a) a linear low density polyethylene composition comprising: less than or equal to 100 percent by weight of the units derived from ethylene; less than 35 percent by weight of units derived from one or more ?-olefin comonomers; wherein said polyethylene composition has a density in the range of 0.890 to 0.940 g/cm3, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of 2.5 to 4.5, a melt index (I2) in the range of 4 to 30 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (Mz/Mw) in the range of from 2.0 to 3, vinyl unsaturation of less than 0.1 vinyls per one thousand carbon atoms present in the backbone of said composition, and a zero shear viscosity ratio (ZSVR) in the range from 1 to 1.2; and (b) less than 50 percent by weight of a low density polyethylene composition having a density in the range of 0.915 to 0.930 g/cm3, a melt index (I2) in the range of 0.1 to 10 g/10 minutes, and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of 6 to 15.
