Abstract:
A new method of producing fuel from biological oils and fats is provided, which comprises the following steps: (a) proceeding with a catalytic cracking-deoxygenation reaction for the biological oils and fats under heating in the presence of a cracking-deoxygenation catalyst; (b) mixing the product of step (a) with hydrogen gas; and (c) proceeding with a catalytic hydrodeoxygenation reaction for the mixture from step (b) under heating in the presence of a hydrodeoxygenation catalyst. By means of the method of the present invention, clean fuel produced by using biological oils and fats as raw materials is compatible with the fuel composition produced from crude oil refining.
Abstract:
A micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) microphone package is provided in the present disclosure. The MEMS microphone package includes a circuit board, an electromagnetic shielding cover mounted on the circuit board to define an accommodating space, electronic components received in the accommodating space and electrically connected to the circuit board, and a shielding ring covering a joint between the electromagnetic shielding cover and the circuit board. The shielding ring is configured for preventing electromagnetic waves from entering the accommodating space via the joint between the electromagnetic shielding cover and the circuit board.
Abstract:
Method and system is described for enhanced subsea leak detection by using autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) that is equipment with measurement components and navigation components. The method and system may include a one or more wireless communication components for navigation. Also, the method and system may include one or more sensors to detect leakage from a pipeline.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of generating device commands based upon hand gesture commands are disclosed. An exemplary embodiment generates image information from a series of captured images, generates commands based upon hand gestures made by a user that emulate device commands generated by a remote control device, identifies a hand gesture made by the user from the received image information, determines a hand gesture command based upon the identified hand gesture, compares the determined hand gesture command with the plurality of predefined hand gesture commands to identify a corresponding matching hand gesture command from the plurality of predefined hand gesture commands, generates an emulated remote control device command based upon the identified matching hand gesture command, and controls the media device based upon the generated emulated remote control device command.
Abstract:
One embodiment may take the form of an apparatus for providing separate user classifications and interfaces to multiple users of a set-top box of the television system. Each user classification may be configurable to provide different interfaces, menus and available features to the users of the set-top box. Further, each user classification may include several sub-classifications to further personalize the set-top box to the various users of the system. Also, each user classification may also monitor the habits and usage of each class and store such information for use by the set-top box to suggest settings of the set-top box that the user may be interested in, such as a favorite channel list.

Abstract:
A thermal power generation apparatus comprises a boiler (15) and multiple turbine sets for high, intermediate and lower steam pressure operation. Steam exhausted from the high pressure turbine (HP), and reduced in both pressure and temperature, is returned to a reheater (19) for reheating. The reheated steam is then passed to a intermediate pressure turbine (IP). It is desirable to control the temperature of steam entering the intermediate pressure turbine (IP). The invention provides a system for effecting temperature control of the reheater stream in a thermal power plant. The system includes a reheater conduit (10, 21) adapted to define at least a part of a reheat flow path for steam between an exhaust of a high pressure turbine system (HP) and an inlet of a reheater system (19). The system further includes an indirect water/steam heat exchanger (B) having a heat exchange portion within the reheat flow path and defining a water flow path means adapted to receive and circulate feed water. The feed water may be taken from take off points (A, D) in the primary feed water stream.
Abstract:
A cable assembly comprises an insulative housing defining a main body portion with a front face, an upper and a lower tongue portion respectively extending forwardly from a top and bottom side of the front face, and the main body portion defining a base section and an organizer angled with the base section, and the insulative housing defined by an upper cover and a lower cover engaged with the upper cover; a printed circuit board disposed in the insulative housing and defining a mating portion extending forwardly from the front face of the insulative housing and disposed between the upper and lower tongue portion and a rear portion opposite to the mating portion thereof; and a cable terminated to the rear portion of the printed circuit board and extending out of the insulative housing along the organizer of the insulative housing.
