Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a three-dimensional object, comprising locally raising the temperature of a powder using electromagnetic radiation in a heated chamber, causing the localised melting/coalescing of a layer of a predetermined thickness in order to form, after cooling, a solid polyamide layer, the method being characterised in that the powder comprises, relative to the total weight of the composition: —between 60% and 99% by weight of polyamide; —between 1% and 40% by weight of an optical and/or magnetic detection additive selected from the group formed by: pigments comprising a spinel structure containing a cation of a transition metal, the oxides of a transition metal, the sulphides of a transition metal; —between 0% and 5% by weight of a flow agent and in that the powder has: —a particle size distribution D50 of between 35 μm and 55 μm; and —a particle size distribution D10 of more than 15 μm; and—a particle size distribution D90 of less than 100 μm.

Abstract: An electromagnetic absorber includes a base material formed of a polymer, and a powder dispersed in the base material. The powder is formed of an Fe—Cr—Co-based alloy having a two-phase separation structure including a first phase and a second phase. An Fe content and a Co content of the first phase are more than those of the second phase, and a Cr content of the second phase is more than that of the first phase. The two-phase separation structure is a modulated structure. Preferably, the first phase is elongated or flattened.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for stably dispersing nanoparticles of a material in a curable polymer, the method comprising: a) providing a curable pre-polymer; b) providing particles of the material; and c) compounding the curable pre-polymer and the particles at a compounding temperature sufficiently high to obtain a curable melt mixture and sufficiently low for the curable melt mixture to develop a pre-determined viscosity upon compounding. The compounding is performed by applying a shear force to the heated curable melt mixture, whereby nanoparticles are formed from the particles, the viscosity of the melt being such that the nanoparticles remain dispersed in the mixture.

Abstract: Described herein are a polyamide composition and a molded article comprising such polyamide composition, such as a mobile electronic device component. The polyamide composition comprises a polyamide polymer, an electrically conductive material comprising carbon fibers, carbon nano-tubes, or any combination thereof, and a glass filler having tri-dimensional structures characterized by an average length of at most 500 microns, said glass filler comprising at least 20 wt % glass flakes. The polyamide composition and the molded article exhibit near-isotropic mold shrinkage, low warpage and near-isotropic CLTE (Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion) and are electrostatic dissipative (ESD).

Abstract: A polymer gel may comprise a polymer gel base material and superparamagnetic nanoparticles. At least 25 wt. % of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles may have diameters in a first size range between a first diameter and a second diameter. At least 25 wt. % of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles may have diameters in a second size range between a third diameter and a fourth diameter. The Brownian relaxation time of the portion of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles in the first size range may be at least 5 times the Neel relaxation time of the portion of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles in the first size range. The Neel relaxation time of the portion of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles in the second size range may be at least 5 times the Brownian relaxation time of the portion of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles in the second size range. Methods for monitoring gel integrity in a wellbore are further included.

Abstract: An electromagnetic wave absorbing thermally conductive composition contains a matrix resin component, metal soft magnetic particles, and thermally conductive particles. The metal soft magnetic particles are carbonyl iron particles and are present in an amount of 30% by volume or more when the electromagnetic wave absorbing thermally conductive composition is a population parameter. A value of an imaginary part (μ″) of relative permeability of the electromagnetic wave absorbing thermally conductive composition is 0.9 or more in at least some bands in a frequency range of 18 to 26.5 GHz. The electromagnetic wave absorbing thermally conductive composition in the form of a sheet has a thermal conductivity of 2.0 W/m·K or more in the thickness direction. A sheet of the present invention incudes the above composition in the form of a sheet. Thus, the present invention provides the electromagnetic wave absorbing thermally conductive composition and its sheet that can increase the value of the imaginary part (μ″) of relative permeability in a frequency band of 18 to 26.5 GHz, efficiently absorb electromagnetic wave noise in this frequency band, and also have a high thermal conductivity.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an isolation sheet comprising a resin layer and a plurality of dispersed insulated soft magnetic particles in the resin layer. By adjusting the weight percentage of the insulated soft magnetic particles in the isolation sheet, the product of the imaginary part of the dielectric constant, the dielectric quality factor, the real part of the permeability and the magnetic quality factor of the isolation sheet falls between 3000 and 4500. The present disclosure also provides a method for producing the aforementioned isolation sheet to produce a flexible rolled isolation material for printing and bonding with the antenna of the UHF RFID tag with conveniences, thus it is highly practical. The present disclosure also provides a UHF RFID tag comprising the aforementioned isolation sheet.
