Abstract:
Novel poly-branched, mono- or poly-unsaturated functional materials are provided. More specifically, certain novel unsaturated branched functional compositions are provided that are made via isoprenoids and/or isoprenoid derivatives which come from either natural or synthetic sources. Also disclosed is their use or modification for use in consumer products such as laundry products, personal care products, dishcare products, shampoo products and hard surface cleaning products, and the like comprising the functional compositions or modified compositions.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods useful for providing one or more benefits, including a color rejuvenation and/or color maintenance benefit to a fabric are disclosed. The disclosed compositions contain at least one cationic polymer. The methods include providing the disclosed compositions in combination with a source of anionic surfactant. Unit dose and multi-compartment systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to pumpable aqueous pearlescent concentrates having a high active content of alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl sulfonates, mono and diesters of sulfosuccinic acid (sulfosuccinates), alkyl glycinates, alkyl sarcosinates, and/or alkyl taurates, and fatty acid glycol esters and/or carbolic acid amides as pearlescent agents, and to a method for the production thereof. The pearlescent concentrates according to the invention are suitable as additives for improving the optical appearance of tenside components, for example of liquid washing and cleaning agents or liquid body wash and body care agents and hair care agents. The pearlescent concentrates according to the invention comprise 35 to 85% by weight of a dispersant selected from alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl sulfates, alkyl sulfonates, mono and diesters of sulfosuccinic acid, alkyl glycinates, alkyl sarcosinates and/or alkyl taurates, and mixtures thereof, 15 to 40% by weight of a pearlescent agent component selected from fatty acid glycol esters, fatty acid alkanol amides and mixtures thereof, optionally advantageous additives and water in the quantity short of 100% by weight, but not in a concentration greater than 30% by weight.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to surfactant-based all-purpose cleaners useful for cleaning surfaces including household hard surfaces as well as glass. The cleaning compositions comprise an anionic sulfonate surfactant, a non-ionic aliphatic ethoxylated surfactant, an alcohol, and a residue-reducing agent. The cleaning compositions of the invention are effective in removing soils such as grease soil and in leaving un-rinsed or unwiped surfaces residue free.
Abstract:
Adherence of contaminant residues or particles is suppressed, corrosion of exposed surfaces is substantially reduced or eliminated during the process of dicing a wafer by sawing. A fluoride-free aqueous composition comprising a dicarboxylic acid and/or salt thereof; a hydroxycarboxylic acid and/or salt thereof or amine group containing acid, a surfactant and deionized water is employed.
Abstract:
A process for making an anhydrous laundry liquid detergent base composition comprising detersive surfactant, the process comprising the steps of: a) providing a pre-neutralized sulphate detersive surfactant syrup wherein at least 50% of the sulphate detersive surfactant is pre-neutralized with an organic neutralizing agent; b) adding a neutralizing agent to the sulphate detersive surfactant syrup; and c) adding a sulphonic detersive surfactant in acid form to the mixture resulting from step b).
Abstract:
A process for making a laundry liquid detergent comprising anionic detersive surfactant, the process comprising the steps of: a) making a base composition comprising alkanolamine and sodium ions in a molar ratio of from about 0.1:1 to 60:1; and b) adding water to the base composition.
Abstract:
A method for cleaning contaminated surfaces of surgical waste management equipment. The method includes rinsing surfaces of the equipment with water to remove water soluble contaminants and waste material. A rinse solution is applied to the surfaces of the equipment to provide a residual film thereon. The rinse solution includes a first nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 12 to about 15, a second nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 16 to 20, an aqueous solvent, and a bio-film permeation agent. A total of the first surfactant and the second surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2 to about 20 percent by weight of a total weight of the composition.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to cleaning and/or treatment compositions, such as fabric care, hair care and skin care compositions, containing an aminosilicone, one or more anionic surfactants and one or more deposition aids. The disclosed compositions have improved rheology and performance. The disclosed compositions may provide one or more fabric care benefits including, for example, fabric softness and/or an anti-wrinkle benefit. Methods of making and using the compositions are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention discloses mixtures consisting of two or three surfactants from the group containing secondary alkane sulfonates, α-methyl ester sulfonates and φ-methyl ester sulfonates. Said mixtures exhibit a synergistic cleaning action in comparison to the respective individual surfactants.
