Abstract:
A polytetrafluoroethylene porous film, which is prepared by stretching a semisintered polytetrafluoroethylene material and heating the stretched material at a temperature higher than the melting point of sintered polytetrafluoroethylene, has an area ratio of fibrils to nodes of from 99:1 to 75:25, an average fibril diameter of from 0.05 to 0.2 .mu.m, a largest node area of not larger than 2 .mu.m.sup.2 and an average pore size of from 0.2 to 0.5 .mu.m and achieves low pressure loss.
Abstract:
A composite material is provided which includes a discrete phase including grains made of a first substance; and a continuous phase including a thin coating film made of a second substance and formed on the surface of each of the grains. The thin coating film has a mean thickness smaller than the mean particle size of the grains. The grains are separated substantially from each other by the thin coating film. The porosity of the composite material is 5% or less.
Abstract:
A PTC composition comprising at least one polymer, from 5% to 45% by volume of electrically conductive or semiconductive particles having a room temperature electric conductivity of at least 10.sup.2 [s/m] dispersed in said polymer, and from 0.2% to 20% by volume of thermally conductive particles having a room temperature electric conductivity of no more than 10.sup.-3 [s/m] and a thermal conductivity of at least 20 [w/m.multidot.k] dispersed in said polymer. A PTC device using such a PTC composition has a high ratio of peak resistance to room temperature resistance, and exhibits high safety.
Abstract:
A fluidity controlling agent for paints is provided which comprises a product obtained by reacting paratoluidine and hexamethylene diisocyanate at a particular equivalent ratio (NH.sub.2 NCO) and gives thixotropic properties to the paint without sagging at a large coating film thickness.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording apparatus for recording two kinds of mutually different information signals on independent tracks of a magnetic tape comprises first through fourth rotary magnetic heads. The third and fourth heads are mounted on a rotary body at positions respectively in vicinities of the first and second heads along a rotating direction of the rotary body. The height positions of the third and fourth heads on the rotary body are different from the height positions of the first and second head. An extremely narrow guard band or no guard band is formed between two adjacent tracks recorded with the same kind of information signal. On the other hand, a wide guard band is formed between two adjacent tracks recorded with different kinds of information signals.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording apparatus for carrying out a recording by selectively using one of two kinds of recording systems comprises first through fourth rotary magnetic heads, a first circuit for producing an FM luminance signal, second and third circuits for producing first and second frequency division multiplexed signals, and a switching circuit. The first and second heads are mounted on a rotary body at mutually opposing positions, and have the same height position. The third and fourth heads are mounted on the rotary body at mutually opposing positions respectively in vicinities of the first and second heads along a rotating direction of the rotary body, and have the same height position. The switching circuit selectively supplies the output signals of the first and second circuits to the first through fourth heads when a luminance/color separation recording system is selected as the recording system, and selectively supplies the output signal of the third circuit to the first and second heads or to the third and fourth heads when a low band conversion color recording system is selected as the recording system.
Abstract:
The present invention is a method of producing an ultraviolet light emitting phosphor material. This method includes a step of heat-treating a composition containing zinc and oxygen as main components and at least one selected from the group consisting of aluminum, gallium and indium as a sub-component, in the presence of at least two coexisting substances selected from the group consisting of zinc oxide, gallium oxide and phosphorus oxide under a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
Abstract:
The embodiment of the present invention is a preliminary construction method of an in-plant trench of a nuclear power plant, the method. The method includes: constructing a plurality of buildings for generating an atomic energy; constructing a trench between the buildings via a platform configured to adjust a level of the trench with an installation level of the trench; and backfilling an area between a ground and the trench, after the construction of the trench.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an image processing apparatus that quickly and precisely measures or evaluates a distortion in a field of view and a charged particle beam apparatus. To attain the object, an image processing apparatus or the like is proposed which acquires a first image of a first area of an imaging target and a second image of a second area that is located at a different position than the first area and partially overlaps with the first area and determines the distance between a measurement point in the second image and a second part of the second image that corresponds to a particular area for a plurality of sites in the overlapping area of the first image and the second image.
Abstract:
A semiconductor package includes a semiconductor chip, a first insulating layer formed to cover the semiconductor chip, a wiring structure formed on the first insulating layer. The wiring structure has an alternately layered configuration including wiring layers electrically connected to the semiconductor chip and interlayer insulating layers each located between one of the wiring layers and another. The interlayer insulating layers include an outermost interlayer insulating layer located farthest from a surface of the first insulating layer. A groove formed in the outermost interlayer insulating layer passes through the outermost interlayer insulating layer in a thickness direction.
