摘要: A heat development device for thermally developing a latent image formed on a sheet includes a sheet guide means in the form of a plate and a heating means for heating the sheet guide means. The heating means has a width more than a width of the sheet guide means and has both ends in a width direction each of which extends outwardly from a corresponding end of the sheet guide means. The heating means may preferably be divided into at least three portions which are controllable independently. The heat development device may preferably further includes a sheet pressing means for pressing the sheet against the sheet guide means. The heat development device is effective in improving a thermal distribution of the sheet guide means to provide an image having a uniform image density formed on the sheet when used in an image recording apparatus.

摘要: The optical fiber transmission line according to the present invention comprises first optical fibers having dispersion values greater than the average dispersion value D.sub.av over the entire transmission distance and second optical fibers having dispersion values less than the average dispersion value D.sub.av, wherein the average dispersion value D.sub.av over the entire transmission distance is in the anomalous dispersion region, the respective lengths L.sub.i and L.sub.i ' of the first and second optical fibers are shorter than the soliton length Z.sub.0 (wherein i is an arbitrary natural number), and the relationship between the lengths L.sub.i and L.sub.i ' and the larger of the respective differences D.sub.i and D.sub.i ' between the dispersion values of the first and second optical fibers and the average dispersion value D.sub.av satisfies the following condition: (L.sub.i +L.sub.i ')/Z.sub.0

摘要: Disclosed is a mechanism for separating a sheet one by one from stacked sheets, wherein a sucker is rotatably supported so that the sucker is moved up and down, back and forth. When the sucker is retracted in a state where the sheet is being sucked, the sucker is caused to be rotatively driven and to change the direction of suction surface, so that a front end portion of sucked sheet is lifted up, and one sheet can be separated reliably one by one.

摘要: An information recording/reproducing apparatus uses a card-like recording medium having an area for information recording and a blank area, the area for information recording having a reflectivity different from that of the blank area. The apparatus includes a head unit for performing at least one of recording and reproduction, an autotracking servo, a stepping motor and the like cooperating to cause the card to reciprocate relative to the head unit, and an abnormal state detect circuit for detecting whether the card is inserted in the apparatus in a normal state. The abnormal state detect circuit includes a photosensing unit consisting of a light-emitting element for emitting light rays onto the card and a light-receiving element for receiving the light rays from the card. The photosensing unit is deviated with respect to a central portion of the card along a direction perpendicular to a reciprocal movement of the card so that the area for information recording is irradiated with the light rays from the light-emitting element upon insertion of the card in the normal state.

摘要: A method of making semiconductor integrated circuit devices with narrow and deep isolation regions of polycrystalline silicon and wide and thick isolation regions of thermally grown silicon oxide. A multi-layer of a first silicon nitride layer, a polycrystalline silicon layer, a second silicon nitride layer and a silicon oxide layer are formed on a semiconductor body. A photoresist layer is applied on the surface of the silicon oxide layer. An opening is formed in the photoresist layer and the multi-layer. The silicon oxide layer under the photoresist layer is side-etched through the opening. The exposed polycrystalline layer is converted into another silicon oxide layer. Another opening surrounding the silicon oxide layer is formed to expose surfaces of the semiconductor body. Deep grooves are formed in the semiconductor body.
