The system may include a master piston hydraulically linked to a slave piston, and a dedicated cam operatively connected to the master piston. The slave piston may be disposed substantially perpendicular to the master piston in a common housing. The slave piston is adapted to actuate one or more engine valves. The slave piston may incorporate an optional valve seating assembly into its upper end. A trigger valve may be operatively connected to the master-slave hydraulic circuit to selectively release and add hydraulic fluid to the circuit.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for batch, continuous, or semi-continuous coating of optical lenses. The method and apparatus use a plurality of carriages which are reciprocally moved in the apparatus to transfer jigs from a jig filled carriage to a lens loading arm and to load the jigs with lenses and then to transfer the jigs now containing uncoated lenses to a leading empty carriage. Using such a reciprocating motion, a leading empty carriage is now filled with jigs containing uncoated lenses and the uncoated lenses in the carriage may then be coated by dipping the carriage in a coating tank. After coating, the coated lenses are removed from the system. A similar reciprocating motion is used in the coated lens unloading section.

A monomer composition characterized by being curable to form a resin suitable for optical products having a balanced refractive index and Abbe's number range and good tintability comprising a polyene monomer; a polyisocyanate, polyisothiocyanate, or an isocyanate monomer containing at least one isothiocyanate group; and a monomer having two or more active hydrogen groups such as polythiols, polyamines, and polyols. The invention also provides a special process for making the composition and for curing the composition to form a resin product.
Abstract:
A self-rotating flow meter includes a housing, a rotating mechanism and a sensor. The rotating mechanism is disposed in a chamber of the housing between an inlet port and an outlet port. The sensor is disposed in the housing and near the rotating mechanism. The rotation mechanism contains inflow and outflow passages in a rotating shaft and a rotating disk respectively. The inlet flow passage has a centerline that is coincident with or parallel to the centerline of the rotating shaft. The centerline of any outlet flow passage in the rotating disk and the centerline of the rotating shaft are in two different planes and have a distance between them.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for resetting a valve lift for use in an engine brake. A brake piston (160), and a hydraulic fluid passage (214) are arranged within a rocker arm (210) or a valve bridge (400) of an engine. A resetting valve arranged between the rocker arm (210) and the valve bridge (400) is driven by a change in the distance between the rocker arm (210) and the valve bridge (400). When the valve lift of an engine exhaust valve (300) reaches a maximum, a reset fluid passage (219) is opened, the hydraulic pressure within the hydraulic fluid passage is released, the brake piston (160) is reversed by one interval, the motion transmission between a cam (230) and the engine exhaust valve (300) is partially disengaged, and the valve lift of the engine exhaust valve (300) is reduced. Also, during a returning process of the valve lift of the engine exhaust valve (300) after reaching the maximum position, repositioning of the reset valve is used to maintain a supply of pressure within the hydraulic fluid passage, the brake piston (160) is allowed to be positioned at an extended position, and the motion transmission between the cam (230) and the engine exhaust valve (300) is resumed. The apparatus for resetting the valve lift can be integrated within an engine exhaust valve brake, and is structurally simple, convenient to install and to adjust, thereby improving safety and reliability.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are disclosed for forcing at least some members of a communication group to join a new group call when they are participating in an another group call to a different communication group. A wireless communication device that seeks to initiate the new group call transmits a request-to-transmit (RTT) on a reverse channel to initiate the new group call. This way, at least some of group members participating in the other group call can be allowed to join the new group call. The recipients of the RTT can then switch from a primary channel on which the other group call is taking place to an alternative channel to join the new group call. In one implemenation, the disclosed embodiments can be applied to a two-way wireless communication system that employs a TDMA channel access scheme.
