Abstract:
A three-dimensional shaped article manufacturing apparatus is an apparatus for manufacturing a three-dimensional shaped article by laminating layers formed by discharging and curing inks including a curable resin. The apparatus includes a first discharge unit configured to discharge a substantive section-forming ink to a region that forms the three-dimensional shaped article; a second discharge unit configured to discharge a sacrificial layer-forming ink for forming a sacrificial layer to a region that is adjacent to a region that forms an outermost layer of the three-dimensional shaped article and on a surface side of the outermost layer, with the substantive section-forming ink and the sacrificial layer-forming ink both including a curing component; and a curing unit configured to cure both the substantive section-forming ink and the sacrificial layer-forming ink, a viscoelasticity of the sacrificial layer-forming ink during curing of the substantive section-forming ink being less than a viscoelasticity of the substantive section-forming ink during curing of the substantive section-forming ink.
Abstract:
In an apparatus and a method for liquid transfer imprint lithography, the apparatus includes a roll unit, a plane unit and a control unit. The roll unit includes a roll stamp, a horizontal moving stage, a roll angular compensating stage and a roll rotating part. The plane unit is disposed under the roll unit and includes a first substrate, a first fixing chuck, a first substrate driving part, a second substrate, a second fixing chuck and a second substrate driving part. The control unit controls an operation of the roll unit and the plane unit.
Abstract:
A polymerizable liquid, or resin, useful for the production by additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object of polyurethane, polyurea, or a copolymer thereof, is described. The resin includes at least one of (i) a blocked or reactive blocked prepolymer, (ii) a blocked or reactive blocked diisocyanate, or (iii) a blocked or reactive blocked diisocyanate chain extender.
Abstract:
A printer compensates for printing errors occurring during production of the layers for the formation of an object in a three-dimensional printer. The printer includes an optical sensor that generates data corresponding to edges of each layer of the object after each layer is printed. Differences between the raster data used to eject the material to form a layer and the data received from the optical sensor are used to modify the raster data that operates a printhead to form a next layer in the object.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional printing device including a processing unit and a mixing unit is provided. The processing unit formats a sliced file into a printing head signal file, wherein the sliced file and the printing head signal file correspond to a three-dimensional structure, the sliced file includes layer data corresponding to a plurality of layers of the three-dimensional structure, and the print head signal file includes layer printing data corresponding to the layers of the three-dimensional structure. The mixing unit combines part of the layer data in the sliced file and part of the layer printing data in the printing head signal file to derive a hybrid file, and stores the hybrid file in a storing unit of the electronic device, wherein the layer data and the layer printing data in the hybrid file correspond to different layers of the three-dimensional structure.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lighting article such as holiday decorations and lamps e.g. a glowing Santa Claus, and a method of preparing such articles. The lighting article comprises an elongated structure resembling an image such as Santa. A solid matrix embedded with a LED strip is fitted into a groove in the elongated structure. The light emitted from the strip irradiates upon the elongated structure, and makes Santa Claus shining.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to manufactured articles containing ethylene interpolymers. Specifically, films, containers and lids comprising at least one layer of an ethylene interpolymer product, or a blend containing an ethylene interpolymer product, where the ethylene interpolymer product has: a Dilution Index (Yd) greater than 0; total catalytic metal ≧3.0 ppm; ≧0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms, and; optionally a Dimensionless Modulus (Xd) greater than 0. The ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.4 to about 100 dg/minute, a density from about 0.950 to about 0.970 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 55% to about 97%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.

The present invention relates to methods and an apparatus for the fabrication of solid three-dimensional objects from liquid polymerizable materials.
Abstract:
Embodiments produce and apply tissue-related structures in connection with various medical treatments. Such structures can be applied, as grafts, implants, scaffolds, etc., to replace, modify, or engineer tissue in the body. For example, such structures can be employed to reshape the cornea in order to correct vision. One example includes a tissue cell source including tissue cells in a fluid and a printer configured to deposit the tissue cells in a three-dimensional arrangement to form a tissue cell-based structure. Another example includes a source including a photoreactive liquid precursor, an application system configured to deposit the photoreactive liquid precursor in one or more applications to form a three-dimensional polymer-based structure, and an illumination system configured to deliver light to the photoreactive liquid precursor deposited by the application system and to solidify the photoreactive liquid precursor into the three-dimensional polymer-based structure.
