    摘要: A valve selectively opens and closes a passageway defined by a port. The valve comprises a body defining outer and inner surfaces; the inner surface defining an inner cavity. A sealing arm extends from the body into the inner cavity and is movable between first and second positions for closing and opening the passageway, respectively. A shape memory alloy member is disposed at least partially along the outer surface and alternates between first and second lengths in de-energized and energized states, respectively. The first length is greater than the second length, which constricts about the body. A leg extends from the body into the inner cavity and is moveable between initial and activated positions in the de-energized and energized states, respectively. The leg engages and moves the sealing arm from the first position to the second position when the leg moves from the initial position to the activated position.

    摘要: Fluid valve apparatus having enclosed seals are disclosed. An example fluid valve includes a movable flow control member positioned between an inlet and an outlet of a fluid flow passageway of the fluid valve. A retainer is removably coupled to the flow control member such that the retainer and the flow control member define a sealing cavity when the retainer is coupled to the flow control member. A seal is positioned within the sealing cavity to define a sealing surface of the flow control member. The seal has an inner core composed of a first material, where the core is substantially encased with a sheath composed of a second material different than the first material. The retainer clamps the seal to the flow control member.

The static section includes a radially extending flange (44) that is received in a recess (46) formed in the body to secure the static section in the body. The valve includes a body cavity relief space (52) into which the dynamic section compresses in the closed position. The valve further includes a cap (26) that has a dry film lubricant layer (58) that serves as a dry lubricant between the cap and the diaphragm.
