Abstract: A direct write dispensing nozzle assembly and method of forming traces and twisted pairs via direct write dispensing. The method includes dispensing conductive material via an inner nozzle so as to form a conductive core. Non-conductive material may be dispensed via a peripheral nozzle surrounding the inner nozzle so as to form a non-conductive casing surrounding the conductive core. The first conductive core and the non-conductive casing may then be deposited on a substrate or other surface. The trace may be positioned on the substrate such that the non-conductive casing contacts a previously deposited trace. An additional conductive core may be dispensed within the non-conductive casing and the direct write dispensing nozzle assembly may be rotated so as to form a twisted pair.

Abstract: A lighter and more space-saving wire harness that has a function of retaining the shape of part of electric wires and an electromagnetic shield function. The wire harness includes a plurality of spliced and sheathed electric wires and a conductive shielding member. Each of the spliced and sheathed electric wires has a spliced core wire and an insulating sheath that covers the spliced core wire. The spliced core wire includes a first core wire that is a single conductive wire, and a second core wire that is a bundle of a plurality of conductive wires that are thinner and shorter than the first core wire, the second core wire being connected to an end portion of the first core wire. The shielding member is formed in a flexible tubular shape, and collectively covers the plurality of spliced and sheathed electric wires.

Abstract: A coating composition includes a fluoroethylene vinyl ether copolymer, a cross-linking agent, and water. The coating composition reduces the operating temperature of an overhead conductor by at least about 5° C. or more compared to a similar uncoated overhead conductor when the operating temperatures of each overhead conductor are measured at about 100° C. or higher and the coating composition is substantially free of solvent. Methods for making a coating composition and for making a coated overhead conductor are disclosed.
