摘要： The present invention relates to an innovative method for controlling the viscosity of, for example, adhesives or coating formulations. The method for controlling viscosity allows very rapid thermoplastic curing of a formulation even at room temperature and a significant reduction in the viscosity at higher temperatures, thereby regaining the capacity for simple processing and allowing, for example, the originally bonded substrates to be separated from one another again with ease. A particular aspect in this context is that a plurality of cycles of thermoplastic curing and a significant reduction in the viscosity are possible with the present system.

摘要： The present invention is directed to an improvement in a wire or cable system comprising a wire or cable portion, an insulation composition surrounding the wire or cable portion, a filler material surrounding the insulation composition and a jacket composition surrounding the filler material wherein either the insulation composition, the jacket composition, or both comprise at least one antioxidant, wherein the improvement comprises the inclusion in the filler material of a stabilizing mixture comprising at least two antioxidants, selected from at least two members of the group consisting of:(a) metal dithiocarbamate salts,(b) amine antioxidants, and(c) sterically hindered phenolic antioxidants,wherein the stabilizing mixture is present in the filler material in an amount that is effective for the reduction of the oxidation of the cable filling material, thereby reducing deterioration of the jacket and/or insulation.

摘要： A crosslinkable composition of a polymeric thermoplastic and/or elastomeric material which is susceptible to scorching when processed at elevated temperatures, prior to crosslinking, in the presence of a free radical initiator, is protected against such scorching by the incorporation therein of a mixture of at least one hydroquinone compound and a sulfur accelerator. This mixture may also contain at least one monomeric allylic, methacrylic, acrylic or diene type coagent. The mixture exhibits a synergistic effect resulting in improved scorch protection for peroxide cured systems when compared with the protection afforded by the components singly.
