摘要： A double ITO structure, containing sequential layers of indium tin oxide (ITO), silicon dioxide (SiO2) (which may include a dopant material) and ITO, is selectively protected by a patterned photo-resist mask. The sequential layers are etched together in a single etching step using an etchant composition which is an acidic solution containing a transition metal chloride and hydrochloric acid (HCl). Thus, the double ITO structure is etched using a substantially fluoride-free etchant composition.

Further customization may be provided by modular user input systems.

摘要： A keyboard structure for improving the uniformity of illumination comprises a substrate having a reflective surface and a key switch assembly. The key switch assembly is disposed adjacent and specifically on top of the substrate and comprises a keycap, a contact assembly and a light emitting means. The light emitting means can be located either between the keycap and the contact assembly or on the substrate and adjacent to the contact assembly. The keycap further has a portion which is optically transmissive. The light from the light emitting means, directly and/or after reflecting from the reflective surface passes through one or more of the gap between adjacent keycaps or a row of keycaps and through the optically transmissive portion of the keycaps, thus illuminating the keyboard structure. Different colours may be used in different zones of the keyboard. The reflective surface and the light emitting means can have the same colour.

摘要： Systems including an input/output (I/O) stack and methods for fabricating such systems are described. In one implementation, the methods include stacking an I/O die including I/O elements and excluding a logic element. Also in one implementation, the methods further include stacking an integrated circuit die with respect to the I/O die. The integrated circuit includes logic elements and excludes an I/O element. The separation of the I/O die from the integrated circuit die provides various benefits, such as independent development of each of the dies and more space for the I/O elements on an I/O substrate of the I/O die compared to that in a conventional die. The increase in space allows new process generation of the integrated circuit die in which an increasing number of logic elements are fitted within the same surface area of a substrate of the integrated circuit die.
