Abstract: A method for wireless communication between a vehicle and a traffic infrastructure, including optically outputting information via a digital optical data transmission path in a visible range of light. A driver assistance system for a vehicle includes a control unit for setting an assistance function control signal for a functional unit of the vehicle. The control unit is connected to a receiver module which is configured such that it receives an optical modulated signal which is output from a traffic infrastructure component in a visible range of light over a digital optical data transmission path and converts the received optical modulated signal into a digital code word for further evaluation.

Abstract: A collision warning system notifies an occupant of a vehicle about a predicted collision between the vehicle and an object moving relative to the vehicle. The system includes an object input device, a vehicle input device, and a road detection module for generating a road signal associated with a road geometry that is visible through the windshield and located within a field of view of the occupant. The system further includes an ARHUD for generating multiple images upon the windshield and overlaid onto the road geometry. The system further includes a computer including a processor and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions. The processor is programmed to determine a predicted collision between the object and the vehicle at a predicted time. The processor is further programmed to generate an actuation signal for actuating the ARHUD to generate the images upon the windshield and overlaid onto the road geometry.

Abstract: A work vehicle that performs auto-steer driving in forward travel and backward travel includes a position sensor to output chronological position data of the work vehicle, a controller configured or programmed to, in an automatic steering mode, perform steering control for the work vehicle based on the chronological position data and a target path that is previously set, and a toggling switch to switch between forward travel and backward travel of the work vehicle. Abstract: A hybrid augmented reality head-up display system for displaying graphics upon a windscreen of a vehicle includes a windscreen having a transparent substrate including light emitting particles dispersed within, a primary graphic projection device for generating a first set of images upon the windscreen of the vehicle based on visible light, and a secondary graphic projection device for generating a second set of images upon a secondary area the windscreen of the vehicle based on an excitation light. The first set of images are displayed upon a primary area of the windscreen. The light emitting particles in the windscreen emit visible light in response to absorbing the excitation light. The first set of images displayed upon the primary area of the windscreen cooperate with the second set of images displayed upon the secondary area of the windscreen to create an edge-to-edge augmented reality view.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for using mobile devices for anomaly detection in a vehicle. The present invention may include a computer receives sensor data from at least one mobile device associated with the vehicle, where the mobile device having one or more sensors. The computer analyzes data from the one or more sensors to identify an anomaly associated with the vehicle. The computer identifies a message associated with the anomaly. The computer determines an urgency value of the message based on the anomaly. The computer transfers the message with the urgency value to the vehicle and causes the vehicle to notify the message using a vehicle notification device.
