An information storage medium which stores data structures supporting multi-angles includes clip AV streams for respective angle data of multi-angle motion picture data. As additional information for each clip AV stream, clip information is recorded on a separate storage area from that of the clip AV streams. The clip information includes jumping-point information for jumping into another angle. Each of the clip AV streams may be recorded in a contiguous recording area, or divided into smaller interleaved units that are interleaved with units of the other clip AV streams.

A recording medium for storing information for still pictures, and a recording and/or reproducing method and apparatus therefor. A writeable and rewriteable recording medium stores data for a plurality of still pictures and audio data added thereto in one file or a space having a logically one-dimensional order, rather than in each file, and still picture group information for separating the still picture data into within a predetermined maximum number of groups in order to manage the still pictures at a group level is then stored on the recording medium. Thus, large-capacity still picture data and audio data added thereto can be recorded and/or reproduced using a minimum amount of information. The still picture group information includes general information for still picture groups, and information for still pictures in each still picture group. The general information for each still picture group includes the start position of a first still picture in each still picture group (the start position of each still picture group). The information for still pictures in each still picture group includes the sizes of video data and audio data for each still picture. Therefore, effective management of information is allowed.

A planar magnetic inductor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The planar magnetic inductor comprises an insulating oxide magnetic layer formed on a substrate, a conductive coil separated from a lower surface of the insulating oxide magnetic layer while being completely embedded in the insulating oxide magnetic layer, and a cover layer formed on the insulating oxide magnetic layer for protecting the insulating oxide magnetic layer. The insulating oxide magnetic layer comprises a lower insulating oxide magnetic layer, and an upper insulating oxide magnetic layer formed on the lower insulating oxide magnetic layer, such that the conductive coil is completely embedded in the upper insulating oxide magnetic layer. The planar magnetic inductor can realize excellent high frequency characteristics and high inductance with a reduced scale.

A method for controlling an operation of a compressor and its apparatus can easily control an operation of the compressor without a request for a high-priced operation control apparatus by operating the compressor with controlling the amount of currents flowing into a winding coil of a motor (100) of the compressor according to load capacity of the refrigerator. The apparatus includes a control unit (103) for generating a control signal for selecting a main winding coil (M) of a linear motor (100) of a compressor or an auxiliary winding coil (M2) on the basis of the load capacity of a refrigerator, and a switching unit (101) for selecting the main winding coil (M) of the linear motor (100) or the auxiliary winding coil (M2) on the basis of the control signal. Herein, the main winding coil of the linear motor (100) is divided into a plurality of auxiliary winding coils (M2).

An integrated circuit device, e.g., a memory device, includes a substrate, a first insulation layer on the substrate, and a contact pad disposed in the first insulation layer in direct contact with the substrate. A second insulation layer is disposed on the first insulation layer. A conductive pattern, e.g., a damascene bit line, is disposed in the second insulation layer. A conductive plug extends through the second insulation layer to contact the contact pad and is self-aligned to the conductive pattern. An insulation film may separate the conductive pattern and the conductive plug. A glue layer may be disposed between the conductive pattern and the second insulation layer. The device may further include a third insulation layer on the second insulation layer and the conductive pattern, and the conductive plug may extend through the second and third insulation layers.

A recordable and/or rewriteable recording medium for storing still picture data, and recording and/or reproducing method and apparatus therefor. The recording medium stores still picture group information for grouping a plurality of still pictures in order to manage the still picture at a group level, and stores audio group information for grouping additional audio data added to the still picture data after the still picture data are recorded. Therefore, large-capacity still picture data and additional audio data added thereto can be recorded using a minimum amount of management information. Further, during reproduction, data can be displayed and edited in units of the respective still pictures. Also, it is possible to cope with after-recording of the audio data.

A holographic data recording apparatus includes: a signal beam patterning unit for irradiating a signal beam onto a holographic medium, the signal beam including a data pattern to be recorded; a cylindrical optical body including a cylindrical reflective surface, by which a first and a second reference beams alternatively incident thereto at incident angles are reflected toward the holographic medium, alternatively; and an incident angle control unit for controlling the incident angles of the first and the second reference beams incident on the cylindrical optical body, wherein the data, pattern is recorded on the holographic medium by interfering the signal beam with the first and the second reference beams on the holographic medium. The holographic data recording apparatus do not require the replacement of the conventional conical mirrors while recording a plurality of data on a holographic medium, thereby increasing the recording speed and reducing the manufacturing cost thereof.

With this, output times of subtitle texts included in the text subtitle data can be overlapped, a subtitle file can be easily produced, and subtitles for an AV stream can be output with various forms.

An information storage medium includes: AV data; interactive data, which is displayed along with an AV picture obtained from the AV data, and provides contents related to the AV picture, when the AV data is reproduced in an interactive mode; and language information, which indicates a language of contents contained in the interactive data. Therefore, it is possible to select an ENAV application to be first executed in the interactive mode and reproduces the selected ENAV application with a language readable by a user.
