Abstract: Embodiments of a Network Manager (NM), a (NFVO), and methods of communication are disclosed herein. The NM may transfer, to the NFVO, an update NS request message to update the NS instance based on the new NSD. The NM may encode the update NS request message to include: an nsInstanceID parameter that identifies the NS instance, and an updateType parameter that indicates a type of update for the NS instance. One value of “AssocPnfWithPnfProfile” for the updateType parameter may indicate a request to associate the PNF of the NS instance with a new or updated PNF profile indicated by the new NSD. Another value of “AssocVnfWithVnfProfile” for the updateType parameter may indicate a request to associate the VNF of the NS instance with a new or updated VNF profile indicated by the new NSD.

Abstract: Systems and methods of performance management over a life cycle is provided. A measurement job control service producer receives, from an authorized consumer, a request to consume a measurement job control service. The request is analyzed, appropriate action is taken to satisfy the request and a response indicating the request result is generated. A request is to create or terminate a measurement job to collect the performance data for a NF, NSSI, NSI, or network. To create a job, the producer checks if the job can be supported by an existing job, creates the job if no such existing job exists, and otherwise responds that the job can be supported by the existing job. To terminate a job, the producer checks if the job is serving other consumers, terminates the job if other consumers are not being served, and otherwise responds that the job is currently serving other consumers.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and techniques for coverage adjustment in evolved universal terrain radio access networks (E-UTRANs) are described. In some embodiments, a network management (NM) apparatus may receive data representative of first and second radio link failure (RLF) reports including information related to respective disconnections of first and second user equipment (UEs) from an E-UTRAN. The NM apparatus may identify a hole in a coverage area of the E-UTRAN based at least in part on the first and second RLF reports, and may perform an automated coverage and capacity optimization (CCO) action to reconfigure cell resources of the E-UTRAN based on the identified hole. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for performance monitoring of WLAN data traffic offloading in wireless cellular networks. A wireless local area network (WLAN) access point (AP) may include a performance measurement module to measure the number of User Equipment (UEs) connected to the WLAN AP for data traffic offload and further to measure packet throughput from the UEs to the WLAN AP; a measurement granularity timer to trigger the performance measurement module to perform the measurements; a performance report generation module to generate a WLAN report based on the measurements provided from the performance measurement module; and a performance report timer to trigger the performance report generation module to generate the WLAN report.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and techniques for identifying coverage holes in a radio access technology (RAT) are described. In some embodiments, a network management (NM) apparatus may receive a first report, including one or more measurements taken by a first user equipment (UE), in response to an event related to a handover of the first UE between a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT different from the first RAT. The NM apparatus may receive a second report including one or more measurements taken by a second UE in response to an event related to a handover of the second UE between the first RAT and a third RAT different from the first RAT. The NM apparatus may identify a hole in a coverage area of the first RAT based at least in part on the first and second reports. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and techniques are described for determining inter-radio access technology (inter-RAT) coverage for energy saving management (ESM). In some embodiments, a network management (NM) apparatus may determine that a source cell of a network of a first RAT is triggered to activate an energy saving state and that the source cell is partially overlapped by each of a plurality of cells of one or more networks of one or more RATs different from the first RAT. The NM apparatus may instruct the source cell to activate the energy saving state when a combination of the plurality of cells provides coverage of the source cell. Abstract: Systems and methods for orchestration and configuration of end-to-end network slices across a 3GPP core network and ORAN are described. The network includes a NSMF that receives an AllocateNSI operation with attributes to allocate an NSI. The AllocateNSI operation includes an attributeListIn parameter that specifies network slice properties in a ServiceProfile to be supported by the NSI. The NSMF determines that a new NSI is to be created rather than using an existing NSI and that the new NSI is to contain a NSSI (RAN) and a NSSI (CN). The NSMF communicates with a NSSMF (RAN) and NSSMF (CN) to create the new NSI. The new NSI includes an O-CU-CP, O-CU-UP and O-DU VNFs, and an O-RU PNF for the NSSI (RAN), and UPF, AMF, and SMF VNFs for the NSSI (CN).
