摘要: Communication apparatus and devices for surgical robotic systems are described. The communication apparatus can include a user console in communication with a communication device having a surgical tool. The communication device can include a microphone to convert a sound input into an acoustic input signal. The communication device can transmit the acoustic input signal to the user console for reproduction as a sound output for a remote operator. The surgical tool can include an endoscope having several microphones mounted on a housing. The surgical tool can be a sterile barrier having a microphone and a drape. The microphone(s) of the surgical tools can face a surrounding environment such that a tableside staff is a source of the sound input that causes the sound output, and a surgeon and the tableside staff can communicate in a noisy environment. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

摘要: A medical device may comprise a sheath configured to be inserted into a body lumen of a patient. A distal end of the sheath may include an elevator for changing an orientation of a medical device. A handle may include an actuator. The actuator may be operably connected to the elevator. Activation of the actuator may cause movement of the elevator. An engaging portion may, in at least one configuration of the handle, protrude from a surface of a handle body toward the actuator. A force exerted by the user on at least one of the actuator or the engaging portion may cause the handle to transition between (a) a first configuration in which the engaging portion interacts with the actuator to inhibit movement of the actuator relative to the engaging portion and (b) a second configuration in which the actuator is movable relative to the engaging portion.

摘要: An endoscopy system that includes a computer system with a high definition display monitor and a handheld portion. The handheld portion includes a re-usable handle portion and a single use portion that is configured to be disposed of following a single use. The single-use portion includes an elongated cannula with an imaging module and illumination modules at its distal tip. The handheld portion includes multiple sensors that can detect and measure rotation of the cannula relative to the handle portion, and rotation of the entire handheld portion. The sensor data is used to correctly orient and display images captured by the imaging module onto the high definition display monitor.

摘要: Systems and methods for compensating for observer movement during robotic surgery. An exemplary system includes an image capture device configured to capture images of a surgical site, a stereoscopic display device, a sensor configured to detect positions of an observer, and a computing device including a processor and a memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the computing device to receive the images of the surgical site from the image capture device, receive data from the sensor indicating a position of the observer, process the received images of the surgical site based on the movement of the observer, and cause the stereoscopic display device to display the processed images of the surgical site.

摘要: The technology relates to a cartridge, detachable from a video laryngoscope, that retains a proximal end of an introducer, such as an endoscope. The cartridge includes a housing, an endoscope receptacle at least partially housed within the housing and shaped to receive the proximal end of the endoscope, an electrical interface exposed inside the housing, and an actuator having a locked and unlocked position. Adjustment of the actuator from the unlocked position to the locked position moves the proximal end of the endoscope into contact with the electrical interface and locks the proximal end of the endoscope in the cartridge.

摘要: An endoscope system includes: an endoscope; a moving device that holds and moves the endoscope; and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to: detect a movement direction of the endoscope moved by the moving device in a coordinate system of the moving device; estimate an area of a moving body in an image captured by the endoscope; detect a movement direction of an object in the image on the basis of another area in the image excluding the area of the moving body; calculate a deviation between a coordinate system of the endoscope and the coordinate system of the moving device on the basis of the movement direction of the endoscope and the movement direction of the object; and correct the coordinate system of the moving device on the basis of the deviation.

摘要: A medical handling device which includes an instrument holder that supports and instrument and a robotic handling unit that supports the instrument hold, and a control device. The control device has a handling control unit that controls the robotic handling unit and an instrument control unit that controls the instrument. The control device has an interface for at least one input device. An input device is coupled to the interface. The input device is operable in a first operating mode to control the instrument and in a second operating mode to control the robotic handling unit. An enabling switch activates the second operating mode, in which the robotic handling unit is movable in response to input commands at the input device.
