Abstract: A control device is provided for controlling a human-powered vehicle. The control device includes an electronic controller. The human-powered vehicle includes a drive unit, a brake device, and a brake control device. The drive unit is provided with an electric motor that assists in propulsion of the human-powered vehicle. The brake device generates brake force. The brake control device controls the brake force with an electric actuator differing from the electric motor. The electronic controller is configured to control the electric motor in accordance with an actuation state of the brake control device.

Abstract: An epicyclic transmission gear and disk brake based regenerative braking device includes an epicyclic transmission unit to transfer braking energy through arrangement of sun gear and the planetary gears to a clock spring of a clock spring torque storage module. The device includes a disk brake unit that arrests the rotation of a sun-planetary gear assembly in the epicyclic transmission unit such that momentum available at the extended hub is transferred to a ring gear. The ring gear is connected to an inner casing of the clock spring torque storage module that charges the spring. The device includes a chassis unit that dissipates excess energy through spinning of an outer casing of the clock spring torque storage module by a spring calibration wheel that rides over a sinusoidal contoured surface of the outer casing.

Abstract: A brake system for a vehicle such as a bicycle is disclosed. The brake system may comprise an improved master cylinder assembly configured (e.g. manufactured/produced, assembled, etc.) so that a setting and/or adjustment of the brake stroke and/or lever action/actuation can be provided by any one independent mechanism (e.g. without any other adjustment mechanism) or by a combination of adjustment mechanisms (e.g. in a combination with one or more adjustment mechanism); operation of a mechanism for setting and/or adjusting the brake stroke may comprise a feature configured to engage a pushrod (e.g. by direct action on the pushrod or a feature of the pushrod or by indirect action through a link, adjuster, etc. configured to engage the pushrod). The master cylinder assembly may be configured to be set and/or adjusted/tuned within the indicated range to provide an intended performance and/or “feel” for the operator at the brake lever.

Abstract: To provide a rear wheel braking device for a motorcycle that can reduce an unsprung mass and the number of pieces of components on the rear wheel side of a shaft drive type motorcycle. In a rear wheel braking device for a motorcycle transmitting a drive force of a power unit of a motorcycle to a rear wheel through a drive shaft that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction, the drive shaft includes a propeller shaft that is connected to a rear end of an output shaft through a universal joint, the output shaft protruding to the vehicle body rear side from a case member of the power unit. A brake disk is attached to the output shaft, the brake disk being braked by a rear wheel brake caliper. The rear wheel brake caliper is fixed to a bracket that is arranged in the case member, and is disposed on the vehicle body upper side of the brake disk.

Abstract: An axle extends in an axial direction. A front wheel is rotatable around a wheel rotational axis. A front wheel supporting arm rotatably supports the axle. A front fork swingably supports the front wheel supporting arm such that the front wheel supporting arm is rotatable in a first direction about the wheel rotational axis. A rotary member is rotatable together with the axle around the wheel rotational axis. An axle rotation detector is supported on the axle opposite to the rotary member in the axial direction to be rotatable around the wheel rotational axis to detect a difference between rotational speeds of the axle rotation detector and the rotary member. A link mechanism is provided between the axle rotation detector and the front fork to turn the axle rotation detector in a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction about the wheel rotational axis.

Abstract: A disc brake rotor adapter is configured to detect a rotational state of a bicycle wheel. The disc brake rotor includes an adapter and a magnetism generation device. The disc brake rotor adapter is configured to attach a disc brake rotor main body to a hub of a bicycle. The adapter includes an adapter main body, a magnetism generation portion and an attaching portion. The adapter main body includes an inner portion and an outer portion. The inner portion includes a second spline configured to be engaged with a first spline provided on the hub. The disc brake rotor main body is coupled to the outer portion. The attaching portion attaches the magnetism generation portion to the adapter main body in a manner irrelevant to a fixing function of a fixing member. The fixing member is configured to fix the adapter to the hub.

Abstract: A detector for a bicycle that includes a magnet, which generates a generated magnetic field, and a magnetic field sensor. The mutual position of the magnet and of the sensor is fixed, and the sensor is immersed in the generated magnetic field. A length of a path intended for a non-diamagnetic movable element is immersed in the generated magnetic field; if in said path length there is at least one actual portion of the movable element, the sensor detects the magnetic field perturbed by the actual portion of the movable element. Bicycle equipment and a bicycle derailleur are also described.
