    Abstract: A battery pack includes battery cells arranged a distance above a battery tray such that an exhaust passage is defined between the battery cells and the battery tray. Each respective one of the battery cells includes a casing defining a cell cavity therein and having an end surface disposed proximate the battery tray, an anode and a cathode disposed within the cell cavity, and a sacrificial vent cap. The sacrificial vent cap is constructed at least partially of a polymeric material and connected to the end surface of the casing. The sacrificial vent cap is configured to melt or fracture at a predetermined temperature or pressure, respectively, to thereby connect the cell cavity to the exhaust passage.

    Abstract: A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a battery stack in which a plurality of battery cells including a cathode tab and an anode tab are stacked; a first bus bar assembly including a first bus bar connecting cathode tabs and anode tabs located at one end of the battery stack; and a second bus bar assembly including a second bus bar connecting cathode tabs and anode tabs located at the other end of the battery stack. The first bus bar assembly or the second bus bar assembly may include a venting part including at least one venting knife which protrudes from the first bus bar or the second bus bar toward the battery cell, such that stability of the battery module may be improved.

    Abstract: An end cover assembly includes an end cover and a current collecting member, and the end cover is provided with a pressure relief structure. The current collecting member is located on one side of the end cover facing the interior of the battery cell and including a current collecting portion and an assembling portion. The assembling portion is located between the end cover and the current collecting portion and is configured to be connected to the end cover and the current collecting portion. The current collecting portion is provided with a pressure relief hole for allowing fluid to pass. First supporting members and a second supporting member are separately arranged on two side surfaces, facing each other, of the end cover and the current collecting portion. Projections of the first supporting members and a projection of the second supporting member are intersected in a thickness direction of the end cover.
