摘要： Disclosed are aspects of board finishing systems. For example, in various aspects, disclosed are joint compound compositions, wall assemblies, methods of treating walls, and products related to any of the foregoing, including reinforcement trim, e.g., for protecting corners where boards meet, fasteners, and tape. The joint compound preferably is a drying type composition with reduced shrinkage property, and includes binder and hollow spheres, resulting in an ultra lightweight formulation in some embodiments. The joint compound composition can be applied in a one-coat treatment in preferred embodiments. Other aspects of board finishing system accommodate such a one-coat treatment to thusly allow a user to manipulate the compound closer to the plane of board as compared with conventional formulations. Joint tape and reinforcement trim can include non-swelling synthetic paper facing material in some embodiments.

摘要： This invention relates to the development of Crumb Rubber augmented masonry blocks. Crumb rubber is extracted from scrape tires after being processed and then mixed in specified percentages with concrete, cement and water. In the present disclosure sand, which is used in the formation of conventional blocks, is replaced with crumb rubber to produce a sand-free masonry block containing crumb rubber. The developed crumb rubber masonry blocks satisfied the ASTM non-load bearing requirements in addition to satisfying the water absorption test.

摘要： The present invention provides a composite wall panel with good thermal insulation and sufficient strength for structural use which is designed for the fabrication of energy efficient building. The composite wall panel of the present invention comprises a foamed concrete core with sufficient compressive strength and low thermal conductivity which is sandwiched between two lightweight ductile fiber reinforced cementitious composite (FRCC) protective layers with low thermal conductivity, good barrier resistance to moisture/chloride ion/gas, multiple cracking as well as certain amount of steel reinforcements. These composite wall panels are useful in a variety of buildings in both cold and hot regions.

摘要： An article for fire protecting a duct includes a first layer of a first material including a noncombustible fibrous material and a second layer of a second material including an intumescent material. The first layer is adjacent the second layer. The article is non-self-supporting and has an initial thickness of less than about three inches when in a first application condition, and an expanded thickness when in a second heated condition. The expanded thickness is greater than the initial thickness. At the expanded thickness, the article meets Section 5.5 of AC101 Acceptance Criteria for Grease Duct Enclosure Assemblies, as specified in April 2001 by the International Council of Building Officials (ICBO-ES).

摘要： Disclosed are wax emulsion compositions for curing or sealing concrete and cement formulations, methods for preparing and processes for using the same. The modifiers are applicable to curing or sealing membranes, used in roadways, highways, parking lots and other freshly placed or poured concrete surfaces to retain moisture and achieve high compressive strengths. This invention also relates to materials used to coat, spray, brush, roll etc. on conventional Portland cement concrete mix designs or other applied concrete mixes in formed structural shapes and transport road mix designs, providing an effective layer that controls and minimizes moisture loss from the mix to enable proper curing and achievement of desired compressive strengths. The compositions of the invention further provide for concrete and cement formulations having lower water soluble chloride content.

The inclusion of the RMA improves the dry cast cementitious composition's response to vibration and dampens out differences due to minor fluctuations in initial slump of the composition. The RMA may include a dispersant for the dry cast cementitious compositions. The dry cast cementitious composition may optionally include other admixtures or additives known in the industry. Methods for making the dry cast cementitious composition and dry cast cementitious articles from the composition are also provided.
