摘要: A system for stimulating tissue generally comprises a resorbable implant. The resorbable implant includes a substrate, at least one contact, and a transceiver, wherein the substrate, the at least one contact, and the transceiver are resorbable. The system also includes a controller configured to communicate with the transceiver of the resorbable implant and a power supply connected to the controller. The controller delivers power to the resorbable implant from the power supply. The resorbable implant delivers electrical stimulation to tissue when the resorbable implant receives power.

摘要: Administration of aquaporin-1 (AQP1) complementary deoxyribonucleic acid (cDNA) to a salivary gland prior to treatment with ionizing radiation (IR) prevents the subsequent IR-induced loss in function. The administration of AQPI (e.g., human AQP1: hAQP1) prior to IR treatment (e.g., in patients with head and neck cancer) can reduce or prevent IR-induced salivary hypofunction, resulting in an elevated salivary output.

摘要: In a corneal measurement system, an optical element focuses an excitation light to an area of corneal tissue at a selected depth. In response, a fluorescing agent applied to the cornea generates a fluorescence emission. An aperture of a pinhole structure selectively transmits the fluorescence emission from the area of corneal tissue at the selected depth. A detector captures the selected fluorescence emission transmitted by the aperture and communicates information relating to a measurement of the selected fluorescence emission captured by the detector. A controller receives the information from the detector and determines a measurement of the fluorescing agent in the area of corneal tissue at the selected depth. The system may include a scan mechanism that causes the optical element to scan the cornea at a plurality of depths, and the controller may determine a measurement of the fluorescing agent in the cornea as a function of depth.

摘要: A control method for positioning is provided, which is applicable to a radiotherapy system. The method includes: acquiring a plurality of first body surface coordinates of a target site in a three-dimensional body surface image of a treatment object on a treatment couch; acquiring a plurality of second body surface coordinates under an isocentric coordinate system by transforming the first body surface coordinates using a target transformation matrix corresponding to the first placement position; determining, based on the plurality of second body surface coordinates and a contour image of the target site in the treatment plan, a placement offset of the target site, so as to control the treatment couch to move until the placement offset of the target site upon the movement meets a target offset requirement.

摘要: A method and a device for cartilage regeneration are provided. The method for cartilage regeneration has steps of: applying a pulse magnetic field with a magnetic pulse device to a body part of a mammal in which an injured cartilage tissue is located, wherein the magnetic pulse device has a magnetic pulse generator and a coil, and by applying a magnetic pulse with a frequency of from 10 Hz to 200 Hz to the coil, a uniform magnetic field distribution is produced in a region of the body part covered by the coil, thereby achieving a uniform magnetically induced electrical excitation. The method can effectively facilitate articular cartilage regeneration, and is convenient to operate, having a broad prospect in clinical applications.
