摘要: A system for near-surface subsurface imaging for detecting and characterizing subsurface heterogeneities comprises a non-contact acoustic source that senses a plurality of acoustic waves that travel through a surface; an instrument that outputs probing electromagnetic signals through the surface that interact and are affected by scattered signals of the acoustic waves and further senses vibrational modes of a subsurface below the surface; an imaging device that dynamically generates a time sequence of images of properties of the acoustic waves and maps elastic wave fields of the acoustic waves; and a processor that analyzes dynamic multi-wave data of the images to quantify spatial variations in the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of the subsurface.

摘要: Described is an active check valve that uses electro-magnetic actuation for operation. The valve includes a plunger assembly having a magnet in a sealed internal volume. The plunger assembly further includes a plunger tip that extends from either a plunger assembly housing or a sealing member. Although the plunger assembly is disposed in the solvent flow, the magnet is not exposed to the solvent. When the valve is actuated, the plunger tip moves the sealing member to open or close the valve. Optionally, an arming force may be applied to the sealing member in advance of opening or closing to reduce the subsequent additional force necessary to move the sealing member during opening or closing, thereby improving the accuracy of the solvent composition in liquid chromatography system applications.

摘要: Provided is a method for detecting a wind gust that affects a wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine includes two or more blades which are coupled to a connection means so that the blades are essentially arranged in a common plane. The method including: i) measuring an event that at least one blade is at least partially out of the plane to obtain a measurement signal, ii) providing the measurement signal as a measurement input signal to an evaluation algorithm, iii) elaborating a detection result from the measurement input signal using the evaluation algorithm, and iv) comparing the detection result with a predefined wind gust threshold value (h) to determine, if a wind gust is detected. Furthermore, a wind gust detection system, a wind turbine that includes the system, and a wind turbine operating method are provided.

摘要: An initial building model is read in and a creator indication about the creator thereof is extracted therefrom. The creator indication is taken as a basis for loading a creator-specific object pattern library in which a respective object pattern has an assigned building element data record. The respective object pattern is correlated with objects of the initial building model by a pattern recognition method. At the same time, an object correlating with the respective object pattern is assigned the building element data record assigned to this object pattern as an annotation. The initial building model and the assigned annotations are then taken as a basis for generating and outputting an annotated digital building model.
