    摘要: A multilayer film having two or more separable adjacent layers. The multilayer film includes adjacent layers formed of compositions of dissimilar primary materials. Optionally, at least one of the layers contains a slip additive to change the release tension between adjacent layers. The multilayer film may include an adhesive layer between layers, with the adhesive layer more adhesion compatible with one of the layers than the other. The multilayer film may be a relatively inexpensive means to produce labels, films, sheets, containers, etc., requiring protection or isolation of one surface without the additional processes of gluing together individual dissimilar layers. Applications include, but are not limited to, the multilayer film being used as a seal to secure containers, including envelopes, and being imprinted and used as a multilayer labeling system. In one preferred embodiment, at least one layer of the multilayer film undergoes a visibly observable change when the at least one layer is released from at least one other layer; the visibly observable change is useful for many purposes, including, but not limited to, serving as a security mechanism within a container seal which, when the seal is broken, provides evidence that the container was opened.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for the continuous manufacture of shingles, for producing a plurality of laminated shingles. The apparatus includes a means for continuously advancing a fibrous sheet, a means for waterproofing the sheet, a means for adhering granules to an upper surface of the sheet, and a means for cutting and separating from the sheet at least three indefinitely long strips to form a wide elongate strip and two or more narrower elongate strips, a means for positioning and adhering one of the narrower strips beneath and upon the wide sheet with longitudinally aligned center lines and a means for positioning and adhering a second of the narrower strips beneath and upon the first narrower strip, with aligned center lines, with the second narrower strip below the first narrower strip, optional means for positioning and adhering other narrower strips underneath and upon the last previously adhered narrower strip with aligned center lines, to make a multi-layered composite section of adhered narrower strips and the wide strip. Means are also provided for making an elongate cut across and generally along the center line to form a repeated pattern of interdigitated multi-layered tabs and a means for cutting elongate composites into preset lengths to form a plurality of shingles.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a plastics body with patterned layers for producing dental prostheses having the steps:



    method for production, wherein the method is characterized by the following steps:
    A) providing a first and a second PMMA-based compound which are uncured and have different colorations;
    B) heating of a first patterned pressing surface to between 90° C. and 150° C.;
    C) pressing of the first PMMA-based compound with the heated first pressing surface, such that a patterned surface of the first PMMA-based compound is obtained;
    D) detachment of the first pressing surface;
    E) heating of the first or of a second patterned pressing surface to between 90° C. and 150° C.;
    F) pressing of the second PMMA-based compound with the heated pressing surface, such that a patterned surface of the second PMMA-based compound is obtained;
    G) detachment of the pressing surface;
    H) subsequent laying of the patterned first and second PMMA-based compounds on one another such that the patterned surface of the second PMMA-based compound is oriented toward the patterned surface of the first PMMA-based compound; and
    I) compression molding of the first with the second patterned PMMA-based compound, such that a solid bond is created between the first PMMA-based compound and the second PMMA-based compound.




    The invention also relates to a device for implementing such a method.
