摘要: A shock absorbing device for a subterranean tool features a plurality of sequentially shearing shear pins that shear after incremental relative motion of the affected components. The travel stop is located internally to a series of spaced collets supported off a ring. Impact of an impact ring segments on the travel stop segments located internally to each collet provides a shock absorbing capability as the collets are placed in tension and deflect by radial flexing in opposed directions. The relatively moving parts are rotationally locked with the last of the shear pins to shear. A backup pair of contacting shoulders are provided if the primary engaging shoulders fail to support the lower end of the tool after impact. A snap ring maintains the parts in the shifted position after impact.

摘要: A vehicle hood covering an underhood object includes an inner surface of the vehicle hood facing the underhood object and spaced from the underhood object, and an outer surface of the vehicle hood opposite the inner surface. A local energy absorber is operatively attached to the inner surface of the vehicle hood. The local energy absorber is a multiply-connected structure. The local energy absorber includes a wall defining an interior surface having symmetry about a central plane normal to the inner surface of the vehicle hood. A plurality of apertures is defined in the wall symmetrically about the central plane to initiate buckling and fracture in the wall during an impact applied to the outer surface defining an impact event having a duration of less than 20 milliseconds.

The casing telescopically contracts in the collision by breaking of a coupling portion between the tubular bodies.

摘要: A shock absorber includes an upper vibration damping sheet and a lower vibration damping sheet. Multiple first vibration dampers and a second vibration damper are located between the upper vibration damping sheet and the lower vibration damping sheet; the first vibration dampers are close to an edge of both the upper vibration damping sheet and the lower vibration damping sheet. One end of the second vibration damper is located on the lower vibration damping sheet and is far away from the edge of the lower vibration damping sheet, the other end of the second vibration damper extends towards the upper vibration damping sheet along an axial direction of the lower vibration damping sheet, whereby when a carrier moves, the shock absorber provides a damping effect for a gimbal through the first vibration dampers and the second vibration damper. An aircraft includes the shock absorber mentioned above and a gimbal.

摘要: A vehicle component has at least one sandwich part which forms a crash element that absorbs kinetic energy. The at least one sandwich part has a layer structure of at least two fiber-reinforced and one synthetic resin matrix-containing cover layer elements and at least one core layer element provided between two adjacent cover layer elements. The at least one core layer element has channels which pass transversely through each cover layer element and/or the core layer element. The at least one core layer element is made of a hard foam material or a softwood, and the channels provided in the core layer element form predetermined breaking points for the core layer element.
