摘要: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to creating and providing an interactive video program. One disclosed embodiment includes combining a first interactive video segment of a first type and a second interactive video segment of a second, different type than the first segment. The first interactive video segment includes a first video component, a second video component related to the first component, and metadata including information related to a possible user input that triggers the second component. The interactive video program includes an active viewing route that proceeds through the first and second interactive video segments, and includes playback of the second component. The active viewing route is triggered by receipt of an actual user input that corresponds to the possible user input. The interactive video program also includes a passive viewing route that proceeds through the first and second interactive video segments without playback of the second component.

摘要: A pulverizer 10 includes a journal assembly 19 with a grinding roller 18 that grinds solids in a grinding table 14. The oscillations of the journal assembly 19 are monitored by an angular displacement transducer (ADT) 32 that creates a composite signal. A controller 83 receives the composite signal from the ADT and compares it with known information of the pulverizer 10. It then identifies abnormal situations such as damage to a grinding roll 14, the grinding table 14, the spring assembly 20 and other parts of the pulverizer 10 before they cause major damage.

摘要: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to providing an interactive video viewing experience. For example, one disclosed embodiment includes receiving an interactive video program that comprises a first video segment and one or more branch video segments that each corresponds to a branch along a decision path. The method includes pre-buffering a transition portion of a corresponding branch video segment for each possible user input of one or more possible user inputs along the decision path. The method includes sending the first video segment to a display device and, based upon an actual user input, branching from the first video segment to a transition portion of a branch video segment that corresponds to the actual user input.

摘要: A pulverizer 60 includes a spring assembly 10 that urges a grinding roller 72 of a journal assembly 68 onto a grinding surface 66 of a grinding table 64. The force applied is monitored by a load cell 32 located within spring assembly 10 that creates an electronic signal. A controller 83 receives the electronic signal and stores and/or displays it and alternatively acts to adjust the applied force to a desired value. Alternatively, adjustable forces or mechanical dampening may be applied to journal assembly 68 by controller 83. Alternatively, additional sensors may measure displacement of the journal assembly and rotation of the grinding table for other calculations.

摘要: A system and method for generating simulated wiring connections between first I/O terminals of a semiconductor device and second I/O terminals of a carrier. The method comprises identifying a plurality of first factors and instances of each first factor relating to a semiconductor device and identifying a plurality of second factors and instances of each second factor relating to a carrier. The first and second factors are associated with each other on a one-to-one basis. The instances of each first factor are correlated to the instances of each associated second factor on a one-to-one basis. A simulated wiring connection automatically is generated between each first I/O terminal and a matching second I/O terminal, subject to an identified instance of each first factor of each first I/O terminal being correlated to an identified instance of the associated second factor of the matching second I/O terminal.

摘要: A method for making a printed circuit board with a flush surface land begins by forming a multi-layer printed circuit board with a recess in a surface dielectric layer. Then, a hole is drilled into or through the printed circuit board; the hole communicates with the recess. After the recess is formed, a conductive material is provided in the recess to form a surface land and provided on an inner surface of the hole to form a plated hole which is electrically connected to the surface land. The conductive material in the recess has a thickness substantially equal to a depth of the recess such that the surface land is flush with an adjacent surface of the dielectric surface layer.

摘要: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to assessing a user's ability to recognize a target item by reacting to the target item and performing a target gesture. For example, one disclosed embodiment provides a method of assessing a user's ability to recognize a target item from a collection of learning items that includes the target item. The method includes providing to a display device the learning items in a sequence and receiving input from a sensor to recognize a user gesture made by the user. If the user gesture is received within a target timeframe corresponding to the target item, then the method includes determining whether the user gesture matches a target gesture. If the user gesture matches the target gesture, then the method includes providing to the display device a reward image for the user.

摘要: Credit underwriting of bill payments, or other financial transactions on a transaction by transaction basis. A customer is enabled to request the approval of a loan for the payment of a particular financial transaction. The customer provides sufficient information to identify the account and transaction amount. A front end engine performs an approval process and if the customer is approved, provides the terms and conditions of the loan for the payment of the financial transaction. If the customer accepts the terms and conditions, the funds for payment of the transaction are presented to a merchant for payment. The customer is then required to repay the loan after a particular period of time, along with any fees.
