Abstract:
A continuous variable valve duration apparatus may include: a camshaft; a cam unit on which a cam is formed, and the camshaft inserted to the cam; an inner wheel for transmitting rotation of the camshaft to the cam unit; a wheel housing into which the inner wheel is rotatably inserted and movable perpendicular to the camshaft; a guide shaft on which a guide screw thread is formed and disposed perpendicular to the camshaft; a worm wheel formed with an inner screw thread for engaging with the guide screw thread, and the worm wheel disposed within the wheel housing; and a control shaft on which a control worm for engaging with the worm wheel is formed.
Abstract:
A control method for exhaust gas recirculation of a hybrid electric vehicle includes detecting a pressure of an intake manifold. A difference between the pressure of the intake manifold and atmospheric pressure is determined. A load of an engine, which generates torque by combusting a fuel and external air supplied through the intake manifold, is determined. An opening rate of an exhaust gas recirculation valve is controlled to be a first value according to a rotational speed of the engine when the difference is smaller than or equal to a reference pressure and the load of the engine is smaller than or equal to a reference load.
Abstract:
A power train may include an engine having a crankshaft and an engine block, a motor housing connected to the engine block and of which a housing hole is formed, a rotor portion connected to the crankshaft through the housing hole and of which a magnet is connected to a first side thereof, a stator portion disposed between the rotor portion and the motor housing, connected to the motor housing and including a coil corresponding to the rotor portion, a transmission connected to the engine block and a clutch selectively transmitting rotation of the rotor portion to the transmission.
Abstract:
A cylinder block water jacket structure having an insert includes an intake side insert that is inserted into the intake side of a block coolant jacket of a cylinder block. The intake side insert includes: a separation portion that vertically separates the block coolant jacket; a leg that is extended by a predetermined distance to a lower portion in order to support the separation portion with an upper portion; and a flow blocking portion that is extended by a predetermined distance from both end portions to an upper portion of the separation portion to block coolant that is injected into an upper portion of the separation portion from flowing to the exhaust side of the block coolant jacket. Furthermore, a connection passage is formed in the separation portion to have coolant flow from a lower portion to an upper portion of the block coolant jacket.

A power train may include an engine including a crankshaft and an engine block, a rotor portion connected to the crankshaft and of which a magnet is connected to a first side thereof, a stator portion disposed between the rotor portion and the engine block and a cylinder block water jacket formed on the engine and to which a motor cooling port for cooling a motor is formed.
Abstract:
A control method using a continuous variable valve duration apparatus implements a a continuous variable valve duration apparatus which includes a wheel mounted on a camshaft and having a wheel key so as to control duration of an intake valve of an engine, a cam unit having a cam and a cam key, adapted such that the camshaft is inserted thereinto, and being disposed so as to vary relative phase of the cam with respect to the camshaft, an inner bracket connected with the wheel key and the cam key, a slider housing being adapted such that the inner bracket is rotatably inserted thereinto and disposed so as to move vertically with respect to the engine, a controller varying a position of the slider housing so as to adjust rotation center of the inner bracket, and a guide unit guiding motion of the sliding housing. The control method includes calculating a required air amount for maintaining idle rotation speed of the engine by the controller when the engine is an idle state; mapping a supplied air amount in accordance with duration of the intake valve or the exhaust valve by the controller; setting a target valve duration for supplying the required air amount of the engine by the controller; and controlling duration of the intake valve or exhaust valve according to the set target valve duration by the controller.
Abstract:
A continuous variable valve duration apparatus includes a camshaft. A slider, which is mounted to the camshaft, has a camshaft sliding key and a cam portion of which a cam and a cam sliding key are formed thereto. The camshaft is inserted into the cam portion, and a relative phase between the cam and the camshaft is variable. A roller ring is connected with the camshaft sliding key and the cam sliding key. The roller ring is rotatably inserted into a roller ring guider, and the roller ring guider slidably inserted into a cylinder head. A control portion selectively changes a position of the roller ring guider to control a rotation center position of the roller ring.
