    摘要: An outboard engine construction in which an engine is mounted at the upper end of an extension case provided with a stern bracket adapted to be clamped to a stern plate of a vessel and a gear case having a rotatable propeller is connected to the lower end of the extension case. A drive shaft connected to a crank shaft of the engine is housed within the extension case and a drives a gear assembly connected to the propeller. The extension case is constituted by a primary upper case portion and a selectively removable auxiliary lower case portion. A transmission is contained in the auxiliary case portion and is detachably interposed therewith between the drive shaft and the gear assembly.

    摘要: A battery system is provided that can prevent overcharging during charging, and that can demonstrate appropriate charging performance and output performance of a secondary battery even when the battery system is used in a low-temperature environment. The battery system includes a secondary battery and a protection circuit. The protection circuit includes a bypass electrical path that connects an upstream-side main electrical path that is connected to a positive terminal of the secondary battery to a downstream-side main electrical path that is connected to a negative terminal of the secondary battery. The battery system is configured so that, when the voltage of the secondary battery exceeds a predetermined voltage during charging, current flowing through the secondary battery decreases while current flowing through the bypass electrical path increases, and when the voltage of the secondary battery falls below the predetermined voltage during charging, the current flowing through the secondary battery increases while the current flowing through the bypass electrical path decreases. The bypass electrical path includes a heater that generates heat using the current flowing through the bypass electrical path, and the heater is arranged adjacent to or in close contact with the secondary battery so as to impart a thermal effect to the secondary battery.

The sensor holder cover has a cylindrical fitting portion press-fit onto the inner side end portion of the outer member. A flange portion extends radially inward from the fitting portion. The flange portion is in close contact with the end face of the outer member. A bottom portion extends further radially inward from the flange portion. The holding portion is integrally joined to the bottom portion. The flange portion is formed with a flat surface so that it forms an abutting width larger than 5 mm or more, against the end face of the outer member, or larger than 50% or more, relative to the flat width of the end face of the outer member.

    摘要: A vehicle wheel bearing apparatus which reduces the weight, size and number of parts and also prevents ingress of rain water or dusts and leakage of differential gear oil has an axle housing supported under a body of a vehicle. A hollow drive shaft is inserted into the axle housing. A wheel bearing is arranged between the drive shaft and an opening of the axle housing and is structured as a unit including a wheel hub and a double row rolling bearing. The wheel bearing includes an inner member with a wheel hub integrally formed with a wheel mounting flange on one end and an axially extending cylindrical portion. At least one inner ring is press-fit onto the cylindrical portion of the wheel hub. The inner ring is formed with at least one of the inner raceway surfaces on its outer circumferential surface. An outer member is arranged around the inner member and formed with double row outer raceway surfaces on its inner circumferential surface opposite to the inner raceway surfaces. Double row rolling elements are arranged between the inner and outer raceway surfaces of the inner member and the outer member. A cage freely rollably holds the rolling elements. Seals seal an annular space between the inner member and the outer member. A cap, having a metal core formed from steel, is press-fit into an end of a central bore of the wheel hub.
