摘要： A catalyst having at least one Group VIB metal component, at least one Group VIII metal component, a phosphorus component, and a boron-containing carrier component. The amount of the phosphorus component is at least 1 wt %, expressed as an oxide (P2O5) and based on the total weight of the catalyst, and the amount of boron content is in the range of about 1 to about 13 wt %, expressed as an oxide (B2O3) and based on the total weight of the catalyst. In one embodiment of the invention, the boron-containing carrier component is a product of a co-extrusion of at least a carrier and a boron source. A method for producing the catalyst and its use for hydrotreating a hydrocarbon feed are also described.

摘要： A process for sulfiding a cobalt-molybdenum bulk catalyst precursor to form a bulk sulfided alcohol synthesis catalyst. The process steps include contacting an oxidic bulk cobalt-molybdenum catalyst precursor with an amount of a sulfur-containing compound which is in the range of about 1 to about 10 moles of sulfur per mole of metals, at one or more temperatures at or in excess of about 300° C. in a medium which is substantially devoid of added hydrogen, so as to form a sulfided bulk cobalt-molybdenum catalyst product. Also described are processes for forming the catalyst precursor, processes for producing an alcohol using the catalyst product and the catalyst product itself.

摘要： The invention relates to a process for recovering Group VIB metals from a catalyst, in particular a spent bulk catalyst, comprising one or more Group VIB metals and one or more Group VIII metals. Further, the invention relates to a solid Group VIB metal compound obtainable by the process according to the invention having the general formula H2XO4, wherein X=W1-yMoy, wherein y is between 0 and 1 and to its use in a process for the manufacture of a fresh catalyst. The process comprises the steps of: a) oxidizing the one or more Group VIB metals to one or more Group VIB metal oxides; b) separating the one or more Group VIB metal oxides from the one or more Group VIII metals; c) dissolving the one or more Group VIB metal oxides in water to produce an aqueous solution of one or more Group VIB metal oxides; d) precipitating the one or more Group VIB metal oxides from the aqueous solution by adding alkaline earth metal (Group IIa) ions to the aqueous solution; e) optionally filtering and washing the precipitate; and f) transforming the precipitate by adding an acid to form a solid metal compound comprising one or more Group VIB metals.

摘要： The invention pertains to a process for the hydroprocessing of a hydrocarbon feedstock wherein said feedstock is contacted at hydroprocessing conditions with a catalyst composition which comprises bulk catalyst particles which comprise at least one Group VIII non-noble metal and at least two Group VIB metals. The Group VIII and Group VIB metals comprise from about 50 wt. % to about 100 wt. %, calculated as oxides, of the total weight of the bulk catalyst particles. The metals are present in the catalyst composition in their oxidic and/or sulfidic state. The catalyst composition has an X-ray diffraction pattern in which the characteristic full width at half maximum does not exceed 2.5° when the Group VIB metals are molybdenum, tungsten, and, optionally, chromium, or does not exceed 4.0° when the Group VIB metals are molybdenum and chromium or tungsten and chromium.
