    摘要: Systems and methods for providing quantitative measurements of global glymphatic flow of cerebrospinal fluid (“CSF”) using magnetic resonance imaging (“MRI”) are described. In general, images are obtained from a subject using flow-sensitive MRI techniques that are designed to be particularly sensitive to the glymphatic flow of CSF. Measures of glymphatic flow can be obtained while the subject is in an awake state and again while the subject is in a sleep state. Based on these two measurements, a biomarker that indicates a neurological state or disease can be generated.

    摘要: A medical navigation system having a surgical pointer is provided. The surgical pointer is used in the medical navigation system. The surgical pointer comprises an external sheath and an internal tool having a proximal end and a distal end. The internal tool is contained at least partially within the external sheath. The internal tool has a tip at the distal end that extends beyond the external sheath. The tip engages a surface of a patient. The internal tool further has a tracking marker trackable by the navigation system. The surgical pointer further has a linking component contained at least partially within the external sheath and interfacing with the internal tool. The linking component is configured to control pressure exerted by the tip on the surface of the patient.

    摘要: A hyperspectral imaging apparatus and methods for performing hyperspectral imaging of a surgical field, involving: an external optical imaging device for externally imaging internal tissue through a surgical access port, the access port having a port wall having a light-diffusing surface texture, whereby reflectance of the port wall is decreasable, and the external optical imaging device having an illuminated exoscope, the illuminated exoscope having: a longitudinal housing; an optical imaging assembly provided within the longitudinal housing; an imaging camera interfaced with the optical imaging assembly for detecting images collected by the optical imaging assembly; and one or more illumination sources supported by the longitudinal housing, wherein an illumination axis associated with each illumination source is offset from an imaging axis of the optical imaging assembly; a remote light source; a spectral filtering device in optical communication with the remote light source; and a light guide having a proximal end in optical communication with an output of the spectral filtering device and one or more distal ends, wherein each distal end is in optical communication with an illumination source.
