摘要: A fuel injection detecting system is used with a diesel engine having a fuel injection nozzle, the nozzle including a movable member for effecting fuel injection into the engine when the valve member is displaced from its normal position and interrupting fuel injection when the valve member is returned to its normal position. The detecting system includes a sensor for sensing displacement of the valve member and generating a signal indicative thereof. A comparator is provided to compare the signal from the sensor with a reference signal and to generate a signal indicative of fuel injection via the nozzle. The detecting system also includes a device for preventing the fuel injection signal from including components unrelated to fuel injection via the nozzle. This device may disable the sensor for a predetermined period immediately after the first major displacement of the valve member. Alternatively, the device may adjust the reference voltage so as to hold the voltage thereof at a level exceeding that of all features of the sensor signal except the signal largest peak during each fuel injection.

摘要: A fuel injection rate deducing system for a diesel engine includes a fuel injection pump and a fuel feed pump. The injection pump has an inlet, an outlet, and an overflow outlet. The outlet is connected to the engine to conduct fuel from the injection pump to the engine to effect fuel injection. The overflow outlet is internally connected to the inlet. A fuel feed line is connected to the inlet to conduct fuel to the injection pump. The feed pump is disposed in the feed line to drive fuel into the injection pump via the feed line. A fuel return line connects the overflow outlet to the feed line at a position upstream of the feed pump. At least some of the fuel conducted to the injection pump via the inlet exits from the injection pump via the overflow outlet and then all enters the feed pump via the return line and the feed line. A flowmeter measures the rate of fuel flow through the feed line upstream of the connection of the return line to the feed line. The measured results are used to indicate the rate of fuel injection via the injection pump.

摘要: In an exhaust gas recirculation control system in which a fuel injection quantity is determined on the basis of engine speed and engine load, a throttle-closed range is determined on the basis of engine speed and fuel injection quantity. An exhaust gas recirculation control valve has an electromagnetically operable valve actuator, the duty cycle of which is controlled by a control signal. The duty cycle of the valve actuator is variable in accordance with engine operational condition either in or out of the throttle-closed range. An electromagnetically operated actuator is associated with the throttle valve for controlling the operation of the latter. The actuator is operable between a throttle-open position and a throttle-closed position to operate the throttle valve depending on whether the engine operation conditions are within or out of the throttle-closed range.

摘要: A device for determining a crank shaft angular position performs operation for determining the crank shaft angular position at an occurrence of timing control in an internal combustion engine control, such as fuel injection timing control, spark ignition timing control and so forth. In determination of the crank shaft angular position, an angular acceleration is firstly calculated with respect to respective intervals of crank reference angle signals. In calculation, the determined angular acceleration is regarded as constant instead of an angular velocity. At the same time, time intervals between respectively adjacent crank reference signals and between one of crank reference signal and a timing control signal immediately following to the one of crank reference angle signal are measured. Based on the determined angular acceleration and the time interval between the one of crank reference angle signal and the timing control signal, the crank shaft angular position at the occurrence of the timing control signal is determined. This may provide determination of the crank shaft angular position precisely following to the actual crank shaft angular position even when the engine revolutional fluctuation is significant.

摘要: An E.G.R. control system for a diesel engine is disclosed wherein a deterioration in combustion is avoided upon depressing an accelerator pedal for reacceleration after the momentary release of the accelerator pedal. An E.G.R. control unit is responsive to a load indicative signal from a load sensor and a revolution signal from a revolution sensor and generates an engine operating state indicative signal indicating that the engine operates in low load state which requires high E.G.R. flow rate. A monostable circuit, a delay circuit and a logic circuit make up a circuit means for preventing a throttle valve from being closed until the engine keeps operating in the low load state for a time longer than a predetermined time.

摘要: A device and method for measuring a temperature difference at different positions which cancels offset voltages produced by a temperature sensitive element, e.g., a thermocouple used in the device and the device itself. The device comprises: (a) an amplifier for receiving and amplifying the output signal produced by the temperature sensitive element and output ting a voltage corresponding to a sensed temperature difference; (b) a comparator for determining that the output signal of the temperature sensitive element should be zero level by sensing a condition that the temperature difference between the two different positions is zero; (c) a memory for storing the value of the voltage of the amplifying means outputted when the comparator determines that the output signal of the temperature sensitive element should be at a zero level; and (d) means for subtracting the stored voltage value in the memory from the current output voltage value of the amplifier so as to obtain a modified output voltage value accurately corresponding to the current temperature difference free from offset voltage errors.
