摘要: Method and apparatus for applying a sealing material to vehicle bodies which are arranged in series such that front and rear sections of the bodies face each other. A first and a second sealing robots are provided on transversely opposite sides of the vehicle bodies. The first sealing robot is operated to apply the sealing material to one of two areas in an engine room covered by an engine hood of one of the two successive bodies, and the second sealing robot is operated to apply the sealing material to the other area in the engine room, or to one of two areas in a luggage compartment covered by a luggage compartment door of the other of the two successive bodies. The two areas in each of the engine room and the luggage compartment are divided by longitudinal centerlines of the two successive bodies. The first and second sealing robots are further operated to apply the sealing material to the areas in the engine room and luggage compartment, respectively, which areas have not been sealed.

摘要: A highly-viscous material coating apparatus for use, e.g. in an automobile coating process, to coat a joint of a workpiece, may be mounted on a robot. It provides improved operation where the workpiece provides a reference surface parallel to the joint, where the workpiece provides a reference surface displaced from the joint at varying distances along the length of the joint, and where the workpiece provides no reference surface. Where a reference surface is available, an extendable spring-biased guide pin of the apparatus moves along the reference surface, and any positional errors are compensated-for by action of the spring. If the distance between the reference surface and the joint varies, the varying distance may be compensated for by various disclosed practices. The apparatus also can be used where no reference surface is provided by retracting the guide pin with respect to the nozzle and by controlling the robot so as to direct the nozzle to the joint. A conventional nozzle may be adapted to dispense a highly-viscous liquid without splattering or otherwise marring the surface of the workpiece by providing the nozzle with a frusto-conic recess.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for controlling a flow rate of viscous fluid for feeding the fluid under pressure from a pump through a hose to a spray gun with a control unit. A temperature and a pressure of the viscous fluid in the hose is detected. Based on the detected temperature and a temperature-supplying pressure characteristic data stored in the unit, viscous fluid supplying pressure for obtaining a desired set flow rate is calculated. Based on the detected pressure of the fluid and the calculated supplying pressure, a signal for obtaining a desired supplying pressure is obtained and outputted. The gun is switched on to operate the pump at a constant speed to provide the desired set flow rate. Alternatively, only the pressure is detected and a pressure which is obtained in a previous operation and stored in the unit is used.

摘要: An air atomizing electrostatic coating gun which atomizers a liquid paint by using air flows and thereafter applying atomized liquid paint to an object to be coated by using an electrostatic force. In this coating gun, all of a rod valve, a driving piston, an air cylinder and valve support members of a needle valve device are made of insulating materials having good insulating properties, and an electrode for charging paint particles is attached to the valve. A nozzle-needle valve assembly which is integrally constructed by attaching a paint nozzle to a cylindrical extension of the air cylinder which is formed at a front end portion thereof, is inserted and fitted into a generally cylindrical cavity in a front end portion of the gun body from the front side thereof. An integral molded body incorporating a direct current high-voltage power source is formed by molding a synthetic resin having good insulating properties to embed therein a boosting high-voltage transformer, a rectifier type direct current high-voltage generator and a spiral-wound flat high-resistance element, and this integral molded body is detachably attached and fixed inside of the gun body by inserting it into a cavity formed in a rear end portion of the gun body from the rear side thereof.

摘要: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition capable of giving a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which simultaneously realizes satisfactory holding power, adhesion, and peel resistance in peeling from curved surfaces, while balancing these properties, and has satisfactory heat resistance. The composition comprises the following ingredients: (A) a maleimide crosslinking agent having two or more maleimide groups per molecule; (B) a monomer which, when caused to homopolymerize, gives a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of −40° C. or lower; (C) a carboxylated monomer copolymerizable with the monomer of the ingredient (B); and (D) a photopolymerization initiator, the maleimide crosslinking agent of the ingredient (A) being contained in an amount of 0.01-2 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the monomers of the ingredients (B) and (C).

摘要: In a diesel engine provided with a diesel particulate filter 81 and an exhaust throttle valve 9, noise is decreased that is produced when the exhaust throttle valve is returned back to the fully opened state after a diesel particulate filter 81 has been regenerated by oxidizing and removing the particulate matter deposited thereon. The exhaust system of the diesel engine is equipped with the diesel particulate filter 81 and a catalyst 82 on the upstream thereof, and is further equipped with the exhaust throttle valve 9 on the downstream. The diesel particulate filter 81 is regenerated by operating the diesel engine in a state where the exhaust throttle valve 9 is opened to a small degree. When the regeneration has finished, the diesel engine is run at a decreased rotational speed and, thereafter, the exhaust throttle valve 9 is returned back to the fully opened state. When the engine is run at a decreased rotational speed, the pressure in the exhaust system decreases making it possible to greatly decrease the noise that generates at the time of the opening of the exhaust throttle valve 9.

摘要: There is provided a cable for data transmission which can be wired and constructed without damaging a surface of a wall, ceiling, floor or the like, without using any clamps and which does not degrade appearance of a wired space, and further, allows the wiring construction of the cable provided with a plurality of core wires in a state of less crosstalk. A cable (1) for data transmission includes a core wire (2) having a medium that transmits data and a coating member (4) having adhesiveness and coating at least part of the core wire (2). In this way, because of the adhesiveness of the coating member (4), it is easy to stick the cable onto a wall (6) or the like. Moreover, since a wiring construction of the cable on a surface of the wall (6) or the like without using a clamp, screw or nail is made possible, only the cable is exposed on the surface of the wall (6) or the like and the appearance thereof is improved.
