摘要: An automatic clutch control system, for use in automobiles, using a microcomputer. Included in the system are an accelerator pedal sensor for detecting accelerator position; an engine speed sensor for detecting engine speed; a clutch stroke sensor for detecting clutch stroke; and an automobile speed sensor for detecting automobile speed. The microcomputer is included in a controller for controlling opening or closing of solenoid valves, gear change of a transmission, and opening or closing of a throttle actuator, based on predetermined stored data and based on signals transmitted from the sensors. The automatic clutch control system consequently can automatically control the clutch moving time and clutch moving speed for easy driving under all driving conditions. Moreover, while the clutch control system is fully automatic, it can use dry-type single-plate clutches and sliding-mesh-type transmissions as in manual and semiautomatic transmissions.

摘要: An automatic clutch control system including a clutch, a clutch actuator for controlling a clutch stroke, a plurality of solenoid valves for controlling the clutch actuator, a clutch stroke sensor for measuring the clutch stroke, a control unit for feeding back a stroke signal detected by the clutch stroke sensor and for controlling the solenoid valves to control clutch engagement and disengagement. The control unit includes a learning control section for storing a full clutch engagement point upon saturation of the stroke signal in a clutch engagement operation and storing clutch contact point upon start of rotation of an engine input shaft in a clutch engagement operation following a clutch disengagement operation. Based on the full clutch engagement point and clutch contact point, the control unit judges a clutch operation range for control of clutch engagement and disengagement.

摘要: An automatic clutch control system and method for controlling a clutch for an automatic transmission when a clutch stroke sensor fails. The apparatus includes a clutch actuator for controlling a clutch stroke, a plurality of solenoid valves for controlling the clutch actuator, a clutch stroke sensor for measuring the clutch stroke, a control unit for feeding back a stroke signal detected by the clutch stroke sensor when requests for clutch engagement or disengagement are received and for controlling the solenoid valves so as to obtain a clutch moving speed defined by an engine rotational speed and other driving conditions. The control unit further includes a clutch engagement control section and a clutch disengagement control section for controlling solenoid valves for operating the clutch independently of the stroke signal when the stroke sensor fails. The control unit detects a failure of the stroke sensor by defining an upper limit value and a lower limit value for the stroke signal and when the stroke signal exceeds the upper limit value or is lower than the lower limit value it is determined that the stroke sensor has failed. The method includes the steps of setting the upper and lower limit values for the stroke signal, detecting a clutch stroke sensor failure by determining if the value of the stroke signal exceeds the upper limit or is less than the lower limit and operating the clutch at a predetermined speed if a stroke sensor failure is detected.

摘要: Herein disclosed is a revolution signal processing system for an electronic controller to ensure safe operation of a vehicle having an automatic transmission. The system includes: an input shaft revolution sensor for outputting an input shaft r.p.m. signal; a vehicle speed sensor for outputting a vehicle speed signal; signal processors for determining the r.p.m.'s of the two sensors in response to the two output signals of the same; a gear position sensor for outputting a gear position signal; a gear position detector for detecting the gear position of the automatic transmission; and a self-testing backup. When the gear position detector detects that the transmission is in a gear position other than the neutral position, and if one of the output signals of the two sensors exhibits an r.p.m. equal to or higher than a predetermined value, whereas the other of the same exhibits an abnormally lower value or an r.p.m. lower than the predetermined value, then the self-testing back up determines that the sensor having the output signal exhibiting the abnormally low value is malfunctioning. Thus, the revolution signal processing system self-tests and backs up the vehicle speed sensor and the input shaft revolution sensor.

摘要: A plurality of grooves 25 are formed in an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical rubber magnet 17. The grooves 25 extend in a direction in which the cylindrical rubber magnet 17 is inserted into a yoke 3. The grooves 25 are open on both ends in the direction of insertion and are also open outwardly in a radial direction of the cylindrical rubber magnet 17. The grooves are formed at predetermined intervals in a peripheral direction of the cylindrical rubber magnet 17. When the cylindrical rubber magnet 17 is inserted into the yoke 3, an adhesive 15 gets into the grooves 25 without being pushed out of a lower end surface 21 of the cylindrical rubber magnet 17. The adhesive located between adjacent grooves also readily gets into the grooves 25. By presence of the adhesive got into the grooves 25, a necessary and sufficient amount of the adhesive can be uniformly interposed between a peripheral wall section 11 of the yoke 3 and the cylindrical rubber magnet 17.
