摘要: A mode of providing halotherapy to the lower respiratory tract that includes the step of operating a plastic apparatus and inhaling. The plastic apparatus contains sodium chloride (common table salt) User operates the plastic apparatus to release a dosage of salt-filtered air for inhalation when the apparatus is aimed into the user's mouth by way of corrugated plastic tubing and a plastic breathing regulator located next to a plastic mouthpiece. The user then inhales the dosage of salt-filtered air to target the lower respiratory tract (lungs). This dosage of salt-filtered air supplies a concentration adequate to produce potent halotherapy and with continual use, on a daily basis, eliminates dyspnea due to chronic respiratory ailments.

摘要: Devices, apparatuses and methods for controlling blood-glucose levels during exercise are described. For example, an insulin infusion apparatus can include a control module to regulate a rate of therapeutic fluid release into a body of a patient based on a determined therapeutic fluid requirement profile, and a dispensing unit to release therapeutic fluid at the regulated rate. The methods and devices can be implemented by receiving a first value corresponding to a first glucose concentration before an exercise activity of a user; receiving a second value corresponding to a second glucose concentration after the exercise activity for the user; determining a glucose concentration change based on a difference between the second value and the first value; modifying a basal rate based on a comparison of the glucose concentration change with a predetermined threshold value; and, recording the modified basal rate in a computer-readable memory device.

摘要: A method of providing repetitive motion therapy comprising providing access to audio content; selecting audio content for delivery to a patient; performing an analysis on the selected audio content, the analysis identifying audio features of the selected audio content, and extracting rhythmic and structural features of the selected audio content; performing an entrainment suitability analysis on the selected audio content; generating entrainment assistance cue(s) to the selected audio content, the assistance cue(s) including a sound added to the audio content; applying the assistance cues to the audio content simultaneously with playing the selected audio content; evaluating a therapeutic effect on the patient, wherein the selected audio content continues to play when a therapeutic threshold is detected, and a second audio content is selected for delivery to the patient when a therapeutic threshold is not detected.
