Abstract: Provided is a low dielectric constant film and a preparation method thereof, where epoxy alkanes, organosilicon compounds and fluorine-containing siloxane compounds are used as raw materials of the low dielectric constant film, and the low dielectric constant film is formed on a substrate surface by a plasma-enhanced chemical deposition method. Accordingly, a nanofilm with a low dielectric constant and excellent hydrophobicity is formed on the substrate surface.

Abstract: A device for separating analytes is disclosed. The device has a sample injector, sample injection needle, sample reservoir container in communication with the sample injector, chromatography column downstream of the sample injector, and fluid conduits connecting the sample injector and the column. The interior surfaces of the fluid conduits, sample injector, sample reservoir container, and column form a flow path having wetted surfaces. A portion of the wetted surfaces of the flow path are coated with an alkylsilyl coating that is inert to at least one of the analytes. The alkylsilyl coating has the Formula I:
R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are each independently selected from (C1-C6)alkoxy, —NH(C1-C6)alkyl, —N((C1-C6)alkyl)2, OH, ORA, and halo. RA represents a point of attachment to the interior surfaces of the fluidic system. At least one of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 is ORA. Abstract: Disclosed is a manufacturing process of intermittent coating release paper, which includes: a) undercoating; b) primary drying in a drying oven; c) printing optical marks; d) coating silicon in a section; e) accurately coating heat-sealing material on front and back sides of the base material; f) secondary drying, rolling up, the action of coating the silicon and coating the heat sealing material is precisely positioned by using the optical marks printed in the previous process. The manufactured release paper can be directly applied to the packaging of women's sanitary napkins, pads, and maternity napkins, there is no need to use spaced release paper, the whole can be degraded or recycled for pulping, and can also reduce the use of various coating materials during production, reduce production costs, thus being beneficial to improve the production level of the existing process and the ecological environment protection.

Abstract: Articles having crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and silica nanoparticle multilayer coatings are provided. More specifically, articles including a substrate, and a multilayer coating attached to the substrate are provided. The multilayer coating includes a first crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) layer and a first silica layer. The first crosslinked PVA layer is an outermost layer of the multilayer coating. The first silica layer comprises a plurality of acid-sintered interconnected silica nanoparticles arranged to form a continuous three-dimensional porous network. The PVA and silica nanoparticle multilayer coatings can be used on a large variety of substrates and tend to be resistant to wet and dry abrasions, scratches, and impacts.

Abstract: A method and product for creating a customizable fabric for specific end-use composites is provided. This method includes creating a three-dimensional matrix on woven fabrics, such as glass or carbon fiber fabrics via the addition of nanoparticles and a coupling agent; and, attaching a functional group compatible to specific resins dependent upon end use. The resulting product is a resin-free fabric with specific functional groups attached, ready to receive a particular polymer resin. Alternatively, the process may continue through to the addition of a polymer resin, resulting in a completed composite product.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for repairing a damaged area of a silicone hard-coat layer on an automotive resin glazing substrate by applying an intermediate coating composition (I) to the damaged area and applying a topcoat coating composition (II) to the intermediate coating composition. The intermediate coating composition (I) contains (A) a reactive siloxane compound and (B) silica. The topcoat coating composition (II) contains (C) an alkoxysilane having a UV-absorbing functional group, (D) a multifunctional alkoxysilane, (E) a reactive siloxane compound, (F) colloidal silica, and (G) phosphoric acid. The method forms a coating having the same appearance and physical properties as the underlying silicone hard-coat layer.
