    摘要: The present invention relates to a composite concrete building material comprising cementatious materials; and foam glass aggregates. The cementatious materials may comprise cement, sand and fly ash. The cementatious materials may also comprise other materials, including, for example, reinforcing fibers. In one embodiment the reinforcing fibers are comprised of one or more of the following materials: glass, steel, titanium, other metals, carbon, or Kevlar. The foam glass aggregates may have a closed pore structure and average pore size of 1.0 mm or less, wherein said average pore size is measured based on the distance between two farthest points of pore surface. The foam glass aggregate may have an average density of 30 to 100 PCF. The foam glass aggregate may have a compression strength of 2000 PSI or greater. The foam glass aggregates may be on average between 0.1 inches and approximately 2.0 inches in their largest diameter.

    摘要: A ceramic fiber insulation material is disclosed. It is prepared from a precursor blend generally comprising a gelled colloid and a ceramic fiber filler. Other filler, e.g., other fiber of refractory material, is contemplated, particularly when mixed with ceramic fiber. The gelled colloid ban be formed such as by mixing a gelling agent with a colloid of inorganic oxide or by blending anionic colloid with cationic colloid. The gelling agent is typically nonionic and water-soluble. The blend is trowelable, pumpable and possesses excellent adhesive characteristics including the ability to stick to -most surfaces, including metal surfaces. The blend is also virtually shrink-free during drying and, after drying, can provide the insulation material.

    摘要: The present invention provides a concrete composition having a heat resisting property and dimensional stability, which comprises a cement selected from the group consisting of a self-hardening cement, a latent hydraulic material, a mixed cement and a thermosetting cement, a hydraulic material, an aggregate, a carbonaceous material acting as a binder and selected from the group consisting of a powdered coke and pitch coke, and potassium titanate whisker. Since the concrete composition of the invention is resistant to firing and can be used at a high temperature, a solidified mass prepared therefrom can be applied with a glaze and heated to have an enamelled surface.
